Job DescriptionThe Internal Audit Group (IAG) Learning and Development (L&D) team provides internal training to colleagues, in accordance with an established annual training plan. The trainings vary in nature between soft-skill and technical skill, with an emphasis on audit methodology and specific audit technical skills and are facilitated both in person and virtually. IAG is seeking an experienced internal auditor for the role of Senior Manager, L&D, to design, develop, and facilitate audit methodology training to IAG colleagues and new hires, while also leading the continuous enhancement of learning programs that strengthen the capabilities of the Internal Audit Group organization.
Reporting to the Director - Learning and Development, this role will partner with audit leadership, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive learning that supports audit excellence, regulatory expectations, and organizational priorities.
ResponsibilitiesLearning Strategy, Program Management, and Stakeholder Management- Partner with Audit Competency and Skill Development team within IAG to analyze IAG training needs and skill gaps, in order to develop and execute the annual training plan.
- Facilitate learning roadmaps for auditors across all career levels, from entry-level through executive leadership.
- Continuously enhance the IAG Training & Professional Development Program to achieve the strategic objectives of the IAG Leadership team.
- Identify and communicate learning opportunities to enhance auditors' external perspectives and specific needs.
- Partner with the Colleague Experience Group (CEG), subject matter experts (SMEs) and external training providers as needed to deliver IAG trainings.
- Partner with the Learning Design team to build e-learning modules and uplift training materials.
- Influence senior IAG stakeholders to drive a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
Curriculum Design & Development- Design / enhance, develop, and facilitate comprehensive curricula including:
- Onboarding and new-hire audit methodology curriculum / programs for IAG professionals.
- Audit-related training program components to diverse groups of auditors, who are geographically dispersed with varying levels of experience.
- Design / enhance, develop, and facilitate comprehensive curricula topics, including, but not limited to:
- Internal audit methodology and standards
- Risk management and controls
- Data analytics and technology auditing
- Financial services and industry-specific topics
- Professional and leadership skills
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop engaging learning content, workshops, simulations, and e-learning modules.
- Perform a technical review of all training content to ensure respective material is aligned with IAG methodologies and NASBA standards prior to delivery.
- Ensure training content remains current with IIA Standards, regulatory expectations, and organizational policies.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement - Evaluate program outcomes through participant feedback, assessments, certification attainment, and business impact measures.
- Leverage learning analytics to improve content quality, engagement, and organizational capability.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or related field.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with internal audit methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development, talent development, internal audit, risk management, compliance, or related functions.
- Experience managing complex programs, demonstrating effective communication, and influencing stakeholders.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation design skills.
- Strong training and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Relevant professional certifications such as:
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development)
- Experience within a financial services, banking, regulated industry, or large corporate environment.
- Familiarity with IIA Standards, Internal Audit methodology, and audit quality assurance practices.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, and learning analytics tools.
- Experience delivering impactful training programs that effectively deliver on learning objectives and outcomes
