About the Role:

As the Insights & Metrics manager, you will be a key member of the Chief of Staff Office (CoSO) within the Global Communications & Governance (GC&G) organization. You will establish and lead a strategic capability that helps the organization identify, interpret, and anticipate emerging external stakeholder shifts, societal and geo-political trends and reputational risks, as well as internal employee engagement and communications. Additionally, this role will assist in the overall effectiveness of Takeda's governance. This role will advance the organization's capabilities from monitoring and reporting to forward-looking intelligence and outcomes driven approaches and processes.

In this role, you will transform complex external signals into actionable intelligence that supports executive decision-making, organizational preparedness, and strategic planning. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working closely with key partners such as Global Communications & Governance leadership team, Analytics and Insights COE group, and the Data, Digital, & Technology partners and importantly, other data organizations within Takeda.

How You Contribute:
  • Build and lead an enterprise narrative intelligence program that continuously monitors the external environment for emerging risks, opportunities, stakeholder expectations, and societal trends.
  • Integrate social listening, media intelligence, stakeholder intelligence, policy developments, and cultural trends into a cohesive view of the external landscape.
  • Aggregate and incorporate internal communications and employee engagement metrics from across the organization to better understand and anticipate sentiment, trends, and impact.
  • Support and guide governance operating model and effectiveness of forums through careful curation of internal performance data and external benchmarking
  • Distinguish meaningful signals from noise and highlight developments with strategic significance to the enterprise and leadership team.
  • Develop leading indicators and early-warning mechanisms that strengthen the organization's ability to anticipate emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the Data, Digital, and Technology team internally and key data providers externally to evolve organizational capabilities from descriptive reporting toward predictive intelligence and enhanced decision support including the use of AI where useful
  • Produce executive briefings, intelligence reports, and strategic assessments that provide context, implications, and actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Support the Chief of Staff and senior leaders by translating external developments into strategic considerations, business implications, and decision-ready insights.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during emerging issues, sensitive stakeholder situations, and periods of heightened organizational scrutiny.
  • Establish standards, processes, and governance that ensure intelligence products are timely, relevant, actionable, and aligned with leadership priorities
  • Explore AI-enabled tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve intelligence workflows, accelerate insight generation, and enhance the usability of decision-support products.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Experience in analytics, business intelligence, strategy, operations, or related functions.
  • Experience in data for persuasive disciplines such as marketing, communications, policy, corporate governance (board of directors, sustainability) etc.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities, with comfort in making go forward recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and translate findings into executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and decision-support tools.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics platforms.
  • Use of AI-enabled tools and low-code/no-code technologies, such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or similar solutions.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and leverage emerging technologies to solve business challenges.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated agility, curiosity, and comfort working through ambiguity, change, and transformation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions, geographies, and leadership levels.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of educating stakeholders on data-based decision making and fostering analytical excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and translate uncertainty into actionable recommendations that drive alignment.
  • Bachelor's degree required with 5-7 years of experience.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
