You will convene and coach members in data roles, provide consultation on data analytics and reporting, and direct the data collection, tools and dashboards members rely on, including the products that turn what members submit into insight they can use. You will manage one direct report, and potentially the work of interns and fellows as needed, connecting the team's strategy to its delivery. You will also work cross-functionally with internal teams and contribute to the organization's internal data strategy and analysis as priorities require.

The Insights and Analytics team drives innovation by conducting analyses that inform strategic direction, developing solutions that enhance access to critical data, and facilitating discussions that lead to action. This role is pivotal in ensuring that data is not only collected and analyzed but also strategically leveraged to advance key initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties

Network Data Products, Tools and Reporting (35%)
  • Support the annual network data collection, designing and maintaining the templates members use to report outcomes, strategies and progress, and keeping the resulting data accurate, consistent and well documented.
  • Own the lifecycle of the network-facing data products that turn what members report into insight they can use, including dashboards, reports, scorecards and recurring analyses, from member need through ongoing maintenance.
  • Partner with network leaders to establish performance metrics, identifying the population variables and data sources needed to understand community needs and track progress over time.
  • Integrate new sources of network data and emerging areas of work into existing products and reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and impact of network-facing data work, including leveraging automation and AI to streamline workflows.

Network Convening and Technical Assistance (25%)
  • Develop playbooks, outcome guides and other resources, including shared code and tools where useful, that make strong data practices easier for members to adopt.
  • Lead a learning community for network members in data roles, including agendas, materials, scheduling and recruiting partners or national organizations to present to the group.
  • Lead data-focused Training Hub sessions and contribute data content to national convenings.
  • Provide strategic consultation to Cradle to Career Network partners on data analytics, building data literacy and facilitating meaning-making so members can use data for continuous improvement, strategy and accurate reporting.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for network and external data engagement, sharing trends, best practices and innovative approaches in social impact data work.

Internal Data Strategy and Insights (20%)
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, opportunities and risks, leading discrete analyses and research that inform organizational decisions.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights, presentations, reports and memos for senior leadership, the board and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as a thought partner to department leads, providing analytical support on new and complex challenges.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and internal data supports as organizational priorities require.

Management Responsibilities (15%)
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, engagement and professional growth.
  • Manage direct report workload and priorities to ensure efficiency and high-quality outcomes.
  • Support hiring, onboarding and mentorship of new Insights and Analytics team members, helping to foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Resolve conflicts and address performance issues in a fair and constructive manner.

Organizational Responsibilities (5%)
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
