What will you be doing?

Advanced Analytics is the tip of the spear of our Global Solutions team within Circana. The team works with senior management at some of the world's largest and most successful consumer packaged goods, retail, general merchandise, and over-the-counter health care companies, as well as for Private Equity firms.

You will be dedicated to one of our marquee clients within the Beverage Alcohol space. Along with digging into data and building statistical models from scratch, you will translate the outputs from the models into actionable, analytic insights.

You will work directly with the client as a trusted business partner to derive the "why of consumer behavior. You will translate Circana analytical expertise into actionable, measurable insights to drive Circana clients' business performance. You will leverage existing and new, innovative approaches to address potential new clients' business challenges and market opportunities (i.e. brand equity, trade marketing, pricing and promotions). You'll develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients' businesses cross-functionally and a strong knowledge of new and emerging analytic solutions (both CIRCANA and industry) that anticipate and strategically position Circana client for success.

You will participate in the development of new service offerings by building and enhancing the value and breadth of the current analytical solutions. You will have a strong working knowledge of current trends in the Marketing, Market Research, and CPG Industries including Trade, Pricing and Promotion and other analytic techniques that will be the foundation to drive actionable insights. You'll apply superior business savvy and consultative sales capabilities to client engagement in order to convert insights into revenue and margin contributions to Circana Analytics. Additionally, you will develop best practices, templates and deliverables around the data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Client Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships by aligning Circana's data and software solutions with their strategic goals. Demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret analytics solutions and models and translate it into meaningful solutions for clients.
  • Deliver Insight - Led Solutions: Translate complex data into actionable insights that help clients make informed decisions and achieve measurable outcomes. Approach client with coherent, actionable and fact-based data/recommendations appropriate to their business needs.
  • Advanced Analytic Skills: Demonstrated ability to conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based analyses, with a focus on consumer solutions, providing clients with clear, actionable insights to inform strategy. Continually provide analytical solutions and business insights to address any business gaps and/or opportunities and create value for the client. Identify business issues and opportunities and suggest the appropriate level analytic solution/approach.
  • Utilize Sales Tools and Platforms: Leverage Circana's proprietary platforms (e.g., Unify+, Liquid Data, Intelligence Suite) to support client engagements and solution delivery. Consultative Selling: Apply knowledge of the business, industry and domain to identify, create and close business opportunities:
    • Target and sell services that address unexpressed and underlying client needs; ask questions to identify the root causes of issues versus symptoms.
    • Ask questions to test assumptions and challenges the status quo.
    • Synthesize information on a variety of issues; translate the information into a project framework that ultimately provides solutions for clients.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across client organizations, including decision-makers and influencers. Impactful Presence: Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills; present a professional image:
    • Become trusted by client, Circana cross functional organizations and considered a domain expert and
      business partner
    • Educate the client on analytic methods, shape their thinking and influence the decisions they make
    • Demonstrate a flexible approach to communication; adapt messages quickly to the appropriate level or function with poise and polish
  • Champion Client Success: Ensure client satisfaction by proactively addressing challenges, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering consistent value. Client Focus: Consistently act with client satisfaction in mind and follow through on commitments to ensure the needs of the client are met:
      • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements
      • Help customers identify solutions to problems they did not know they had
      • Regularly and proactively communicate with the client-facing teams, including soliciting feedback to continually improving the relationship
      • Track and organize multiple work streams against multiple clients, and manage time and resources against changing priorities


Requirements

  • 2-4 Years of experience in CPG industry.
  • Previous professional application of statistical analysis across multiple clients.
  • Consultative application of analytic solutions to solve business issues.
  • Able to engage in a consultative manner across multiple levels. Ability to present to VP+ level managers within and outside Circana.
  • Demonstrable ability to coach and lead teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and high-level business savvy.
  • Demonstrated ability delivering results (i.e. financial, client satisfaction).
  • Ability to code in r, SAS and/or python. Preferred, not required.
  • Ability to glean and integrate insights from a variety of data sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and balance competing client priorities.
  • Highly organized.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred.

Location

This position can be located in the following area(s): Hybrid in Greater Chicagoland Area. Must be on-site in the client's Chicago office.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $105,000.00 to $125,000.00 USD.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
