How You Will Make an ImpactFrida is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to join our People team based in Miami, FL. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role serves as a strategic HR Business Partner to leaders across the organization while overseeing critical HR operations and employee lifecycle processes. The selected candidate will leverage strong business acumen, operational excellence, and people expertise to drive organizational effectiveness, support talent initiatives, and enhance the employee experience. This individual will partner closely with leaders to influence workforce decisions, analyze people data, develop executive-ready presentations and recommendations, and ensure HR programs and processes scale alongside the business. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable navigating employee relations, leading process improvements, and presenting insights to senior leadership. Responsibilities to include:
HR Business Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to leaders across assigned business functions.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and employees to provide guidance on people, organizational, and business matters.
- Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, organizational priorities, and growth plans.
- Provide coaching and consultation on performance management, employee development, organizational design, workforce planning, and team effectiveness.
- Analyze people metrics, workforce trends, engagement data, and organizational insights to identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, dashboards, reporting, and business cases to support people-related decision-making and leadership discussions.
- Support talent review, succession planning, and high-potential employee development initiatives.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including calibration discussions, development planning, and talent assessments.
- Lead and support employee engagement, retention, and organizational health initiatives.
- Manage complex employee relations matters and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Partner with legal counsel as needed regarding employment-related matters.
- Support change management initiatives, organizational restructuring efforts, and business transformation projects.
- Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and People Experience teams to deliver integrated people solutions.
- Support annual compensation planning, market benchmarking, and total rewards initiatives.
HR Operations
- Oversee leave of absence and accommodation processes, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and internal transfer processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Review and audit payroll, benefits, and retirement administration processes in partnership with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Manage HR compliance activities, including employment verifications, unemployment claims, workers' compensation matters, and related documentation.
- Develop, document, and optimize scalable HR processes, controls, and operating procedures.
- Partner with external vendors to ensure service quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced employee experience across HR programs and operations.
- Manage and develop the HR Generalist, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
What You Will Need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, including HR Business Partner and HR Operations responsibilities.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders to solve business challenges through people-focused solutions.
- Strong employee relations experience, including conducting investigations and managing complex workplace matters.
- Experience supporting performance management, talent planning, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Experience developing executive presentations, business cases, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership audiences.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience managing leave administration, accommodations, benefits, payroll processes, and employee lifecycle programs.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze people data and leverage insights to influence decision-making.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Suite & MS Office using G-Slides and PowerPoint
- Experience working within HRIS platforms and leveraging systems to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which requirements and priorities constantly change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with close attention to detail.
- A self-starter with the ability to complete tasks both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
