Job Purpose

 

Intercontinental Exchange is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Senior Manager, Global Workplace Design to join our Global Real Estate & Facilities team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience across our global office portfolio by overseeing workplace design standards, interior architecture, and office build projects worldwide.

 

The ideal candidate will combine expertise in interior design with a strong understanding of corporate real estate, facilities operations, and workplace strategy. This individual will work closely with external architecture and design firms, project managers, facility leaders, and business stakeholders to ensure all office environments reflect company standards while supporting operational efficiency, employee productivity, and long-term real estate objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous evolution of global workplace design standards across all office locations.
  • Partner with the Global Real Estate team on office relocations, expansions, consolidations, and new site selections.
  • Coordinate and manage external architecture, interior design, and workplace consulting firms.
  • Review and approve space plans, furniture specifications, finish selections, and workplace design concepts.
  • Ensure consistency of brand, design quality, and employee experience across all global office locations.
  • Participate in design reviews, construction meetings, and project milestone reviews.
  • Evaluate furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E) standards and manage approved palettes and specifications.
  • Assist in developing project budgets and monitoring design-related expenditures.
  • Partner with leasing and real estate leaders to understand portfolio strategy and ensure workplace designs align with business objectives.
  • Conduct site visits globally to evaluate office conditions, design opportunities, and adherence to standards.
  • Research workplace trends, innovations, and best practices to continuously improve the global office experience.

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Workplace Design, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate interior design, workplace strategy, commercial architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Experience managing multiple office design projects across various geographic regions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate real estate, space planning, and workplace standards.
  • Knowledge of facilities operations, building systems, occupancy planning, and workplace functionality.
  • Experience working with external architecture, engineering, and design consultants.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Strong proficiency with workplace planning tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel as required for project oversight and office assessments.
