Description & Requirements

The Senior Manager - Global eBilling will provide strategic and operational leadership for the eBilling Inventory Support and eBilling Timekeeper Maintenance teams. The individual is expected to set the strategy with the eBilling Implementation lead, drive operational and process improvements, set technology strategy, oversee day-to-day processing, ensure quality control and accuracy.

The role-holder will collaborate with the other Senior Service Support Leaders to ensure rapid and accurate processing of client bills, as well as work closely with technology teams to build eBilling requirements and drive automation and efficiency.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee eBilling Inventory and eBilling Timekeeper Maintenance Teams, serving as part of the Firm's Center of eBilling Support to ensure that all teams are complying with the department's SLAs and KPIs
  • Address and continue to advance strategic approaches for current eBilling timekeeper maintenance and inventory processes and procedures which includes the development of new KPIs to hold staff members accountable for performance
  • Proactively seek and identify enhancements to technology to further advance eBilling reporting to evaluate the team's performance as well as seeking ways to automate manual processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Center Teams to exchange ideas, respond to feedback and information effectively, efficiently, and logically to advance team's performance
  • Participate, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external teams on special projects from management
  • Supervise eBilling Managers and Supervisors who are responsible for managing work assignments, staff training, development and providing feedback performance to assigned staff
  • Work independently with limited supervision to complete assigned tasks. while keeping in mind the needs of relevant Firm stakeholders and prioritizing work as appropriate
  • Accurately, timely and comprehensively report to Associate Director on status of assigned objectives and responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Skills and experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or related courses
  • Solid understanding and experience in managing eBilling
  • Extensive experience (preferably 10+ years) in people management, including leading large, globally distributed teams of 20+ professionals; senior-level management experience is preferred
  • Experience managing multiple teams in various time zones and locations
  • Strong technology orientation, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial software packages (e.g. SAP) and eBilling software programs (e.g. Passport, Legal Tracker, TyMetrix 360, Collaborati, CounselLink, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor departmental personnel
  • Solid organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to develop and maintain relations at various levels within and outside an organization
  • Proactive, innovative and results-oriented work orientation
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Able to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Travel requirements: Travel may be required, with advanced notice, occasionally.
