Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Global Connectivity for International Wealth Management (IWM) will be responsible for designing and executing the strategic roadmap to enhance collaboration between onshore and offshore team of specialists to earn primary client relationships. The role exists to enable a more integrated, efficient, and client-centric operating model that increases offshore market share, reduces delivery friction, and drives global alignment across jurisdictions. The responsibilities also include supporting the strategic direction and growth of the offshore Investment Advisory business, expanding the Total Wealth approach to IWM offshore units. By building scalable processes, governance structures, and relationship frameworks, the Senior Manager will play a critical role in transforming how teams across the globe work together to deliver value to clients.

Spanish fluency is an asset for this role.

Accountabilities:

Onshore-Offshore Enhanced Collaboration

  • Supports the design and implementation of specific strategies, in coordination with offshore as well as onshore teams, to capture assets that clients in our international footprint hold at other offshore institutions.
  • Orchestrates seamless collaboration between the onshore and offshore members of a client service team (including offshore Investment Advisory, Private Banking and Trust), fostering a unified approach and an integrated Total Wealth client experience.
  • Implements the Total Wealth approach between the offshore client-facing teams to mirror the standards and practices of the broader IWM Total Wealth model.
  • Introduces a framework to drive cross-border referrals, share best practices and success stories, devises strategies for action planning on addressing challenges and opportunities.
  • Delivers unified reporting structure to better assess business insights and KPIs


Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development
  • Builds and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of business objectives across departments.
  • Coordinates initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring their successful execution and addressing issues promptly.
  • Addresses and mediate conflicts between stakeholders, ensuring resolution in a way that supports both the business goals and stakeholders' interests.
  • Acts as a bridge between different business units, fostering seamless collaboration and alignment of efforts to drive business success.
  • Proactively assess business areas requiring attention, identifying challenges and growth opportunities, and providing actionable solutions.
  • Quickly adapt to shifts in business priorities and requirements, offering flexible and tailored support to meet dynamic needs across the organization.


Strategic Leadership
  • Translates de Manager Director's vision into actionable roadmap that enables seamless collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
  • Serves as a key voice in shaping the Global Connectivity narrative.
  • Establishes KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure impact and success across connectivity initiatives.
  • Co-leads the development of the Global Connectivity target operating model, including governance and data transparency frameworks.
  • Designs and implement scalable solutions to support ongoing global collaboration efforts.
  • Provides insights and recommendations that help evolve the mandate in response to market dynamics and internal priorities.
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations, updates, and business cases to senior leadership related to Global Connectivity.


Risk and regulatory oversight
  • Responsible for ensuring all regulatory/compliance requirements are met within required timeframes.
  • Embeds all elements of the risk appetite statement and measures into day-to-day activities.
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
