The opportunity

Our global network of Financial Restructuring professionals helps clients develop financial and operational strategies to improve liquidity, credit availability and shareholder return. Our team is fully integrated both within our wider Strategy and Execution practice and our firm as a whole, and our clients reap the benefits of this broad range of knowledge, skills and experience. Your role as a key member of engagement teams will require a consideration of team effectiveness and efficiency and as an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Director (Senior Manager), you will help clients assess operational performance, analyze and develop strategic objectives, and execute performance improvement - whether they are buying or selling a distressed asset, restructuring a business, dealing with underperformance, or looking to improve cash management. In this role you will work primarily with an engagement team managing others and working under the Partner. You will prepare and present analysis to the engagement team or the client and work hands-on to drive turnaround results.

To qualify, candidates must have:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of related work experience.
  • Relevant degree or certifications completed in areas such as P.Eng., MBA, or CPA.
  • A solid understanding of profit transformation in operations.
  • Experience managing people or a team driving to deliver on a client engagement.
  • Subject matter expertise in two or multiple of the following areas:
  • Corporate strategy
  • Corporate finance
  • Operations management
  • Working capital management
  • Transactions and negotiation management
  • Strong problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel for work on short notice, when required.


Ideally, you'll also have
  • Current or recent experience with an established consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of formal insolvency proceedings such as mandates under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act or the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
  • Understanding of the Full Potential Paradigm model.
  • Progress started on the CAIRP, CTP, PMP, or equivalent designation.
  • Experience related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture transactions.
  • Leadership experience focused in a relevant industry (e.g. agriculture, energy, consumer markets, telecommunications, etc.).
