What we are looking for:The Manager, Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting will be responsible for a portion of the preparation of the interim and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and will be responsible for the preparation of the Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and Audit and Risk Management Committee presentations. The Manager, Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting will also work on technical accounting matters as they occur.
Your responsibilities:- Manage monthly subsidiary reporting and analysis with divisional finance teams and other corporate departments.
- Review of the Consolidated Financial Statements and note disclosures for the consolidated entity.
- Analyze the divisional variances to integrate these variances in the MD&A and internal presentation decks.
- Preparation and review of analysis and disclosure for the quarterly and annual Management's Discussion and Analysis MD&A.
- Actively participate in the management of the ERP system (SAP) in order to identify efficiencies and improvements to the monthly close process.
- Act as a key point of contact with the external auditor.
- Review of complex corporate accounting entries.
- Perform research and analysis and present findings for ad-hoc technical accounting and financial disclosure matters.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:- Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting
- CPA designation with "Big 4" accounting firm experience
- Minimum of 8 years working experience with consolidation and financial reporting in a public company environment
- Experience leading and coaching a team of accounting professionals
- Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS including practical application and continuous disclosure requirements related to the OSC is essential
- Experience with financial and consolidation systems. Specifically, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Workiva are an asset
- Strong Microsoft excel capabilities and ability to translate data to key insights for senior management
- Excellent professional judgement, analytical capabilities and organizational skills
- Adaptive to change and able to work under time constraints in a dynamic and changing environment
- High attention to detail and quality of work
- An ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively in different geographies
- Experience in Financial Services or Asset Management

- The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $148,000. This salary range is for Ontario and may vary based on the candidate's profile and experience.
