JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an important member of the Financial Reporting team, you will:
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement) and note disclosure requirements in accordance with IFRS to Constellation Software ("CSI") head office.
  • Oversee the financial consolidation processes (including intercompany reconciliation) for the company, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the Portfolio finance teams.
  • Review quarterly and annual deliverables submitted by Portfolio finance teams (Acquisition Revenue Recognition Checklists, Large Revenue Recognition Checklists, PPA models, annual SSP studies)
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting (IFRS 15 and 16) and financial reporting matters to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and Constellation's accounting policies
  • Be an active member on the CSI Accounting Policy Compliance Committee
  • Coordinate with auditors (internal and external) on quarterly/annual audit requirements and manage audit-related activities
  • Develop relevant training for the Portfolio finance teams
  • Lead and support special projects that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the financial reporting function, including finance transformation initiatives such as process improvements, system implementations/ERP upgrades, automation and reporting enhancements
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and liase with Constellation head office/sister companies as required
  • Manage and mentor 1direct report


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Canadian CPA designation (CA, CPA) required
  • In depth knowledge and experience with accounting principles (IFRS) and financial reporting principles required
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes required
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to thrive in an environment that involves multi-tasking and changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy a must!
