Full Job Description
This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving business performance across a global Finance Operations organization while enhancing financial transparency, improving decision support, and advancing finance transformation initiatives.
The Senior Manager will partner closely with Segment Finance Leaders, Site Finance Directors, Global FP&A, and executive leadership to strengthen financial planning, performance management, forecasting, executive reporting, and operational excellence across multiple business segments. This individual will also lead the Finance Analyst team and help build a scalable, insight-driven Finance organization through standardization, process improvement, and technology enablement.
This position is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing executive decision-making, and driving continuous improvement within a complex global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Business Performance
  • Develop and enhance a structured business performance management framework across multiple business segments.
  • Analyze key financial and operational drivers to provide actionable insights that improve business performance.
  • Identify cross-functional trends, risks, and opportunities while partnering with leadership to develop improvement strategies.
  • Support leadership in understanding root causes of business performance and measuring the financial impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Strengthen performance review processes by ensuring meaningful discussions around business priorities and operational results.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Executive Reporting
  • Coordinate annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly outlooks, and long-range planning activities in partnership with Global FP&A.
  • Manage planning calendars, governance, and cross-functional deliverables across global business segments.
  • Consolidate financial assumptions, risks, opportunities, and executive-level messaging.
  • Prepare executive presentations and decision-support materials for senior leadership.
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate, consistent, and focused on actionable business insights.
Finance Excellence & Transformation
  • Drive standardization of reporting, KPI definitions, and financial analysis methodologies across the organization.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the Finance Operations operating model, including governance and best practices.
  • Introduce new reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical capabilities that improve decision-making.
  • Improve reporting efficiency through automation, technology enablement, and process optimization.
  • Partner with FP&A, IT, and Business Process Optimization teams to enhance systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen organizational maturity and support future growth.
Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Analyst team.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across Finance Operations.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance, Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, and executive leadership.
  • Serve as deputy to the SVP of Finance Operations, representing the function when appropriate.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on strategic initiatives, organizational improvements, and business priorities.
Operational Support
  • Partner closely with the SVP of Finance Operations to manage priorities across the global organization.
  • Coordinate strategic and cross-functional initiatives while ensuring timely execution of key deliverables.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and support executive-level projects.
  • Help manage recurring Finance Operations activities while driving execution of strategic priorities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 7-12 years of progressive finance experience within a pharmaceutical CDMO, life sciences, manufacturing, or similarly complex global organization.
  • Strong background in manufacturing finance, operational finance, or business performance management.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and international operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.
  • Experience working with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and business case development skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with OneStream and ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Sage, or similar financial platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a private equity-backed organization.
  • Exposure to IPO readiness or publicly traded company reporting requirements.
  • Finance transformation, reporting automation, or process standardization experience.
  • Experience supporting organizations undergoing rapid growth or organizational transformation.
