Job DescriptionThe Senior Manager, Finance & Analytics serves as a strategic leader responsible for shaping forecasting methodology, driving analytical strategy, and influencing business decisions across multiple functional areas. This role partners with Finance, Operations, Business Development, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership to translate complex operational and financial data into actionable business plans that drive growth, improve profitability, and mitigate risks.
This role blends technical expertise with business decision-making and influencing others. This position plays a key role in identifying trends and developing predictive analysis, guiding the strategic thinking of the company as it continues to grow and evolve. You will apply your analytical and technical skills to build forecasting models, iterate and experiment with different approaches, and advise key stakeholders on insights from your work. You will need to have both technical skills and an appetite to grow your business acumen. Other skills that will make you successful in the role include expertise with SQL, Tableau (or other visualization tools), strong statistical rigor, project management, and an appreciation for how operational KPIs translate to financial outcomes. In addition to strong financial literacy and executive communication skills, qualified candidates will have experience developing complex financial models in Excel, crafting their own SQL queries and tables, and constructing thorough dashboards using BI visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).
Responsibilities- Own the strategic direction, governance, and continuous evolution of warranty claims forecasting and analytics across multiple product categories and accounts
- Establish forecasting frameworks and analytical methodologies that support business planning, financial forecasting, operational decision-making, and risk management.
- Partner with leadership to identify emerging risks, opportunities, and long-term frequency and claim filing trends that help optimize business performance
- Ensure consistency and reliability in data and ongoing monitoring of key metrics
- Improve processes for evolving reporting requirements based on stakeholder feedback
- Provide ongoing support to the finance and operational departments as and when data and analysis is required to support decision making
- Support ongoing monthly & quarterly reporting of key insights at executive forums
- In-depth causal analysis of underlying controllable risks and opportunities
- Utilization of financial & statistical models that simulate and forecast key drivers
- Organize and analyze data across sources and summarize results quickly and efficiently
- Demonstrate strong leadership in influencing decision-making across functions based on data, analysis and key metrics.
- Develop Finance & Analytics organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, talent development, and succession planning
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, economics, business analytics or equivalent). Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in Finance, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, FP&A, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Must-have technical skills: SQL, Tableau, Excel, working knowledge of Python, working knowledge of Power BI
- Additional preferred tech skills: R, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Azure Foundry, DBT
- Financial literacy required (ability to interpret income statement, balance sheet, profitability metrics etc.)
- Experience in warranty and/or insurance related fields preferred but not strictly required
- Experience leading large-scale forecasting and predictive models that guide strategy and operational initiatives
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and balance between details and higher-level decision drivers based on context
- Proactive, organized, and detail oriented, with strong writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrable critical thinking skills and ability to make assumptions based on context
- Prior people-leadership experience, including coaching, development, performance management, and organizational capability building preferred.
- Motivated to learn, collaborate, experiment and build scalable processes that drive clarity and efficiency across the organization
