Network Implementation Managers specifically manages projects to add or remove the circuits that interconnect all Akamai locations globally.
Partner with the bestAs a Senior Manager, Network Infrastructure, you will be responsible for heading our global Network Implementation Management team. You will maintain a strong employee focus inline with Akamai's culture. You will also balance both the transaction and transformational needs of Akamai to prepare the team for Akamai's expansion into AI Cloud.
As a Senior Manager Network Infrastructure, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of Network Implementation Managers (NIM) across six countries overseeing 2500+ circuit deployments projects annually
- Establishing relationships with key bandwidth vendors globally
- Overseeing cleanliness of circuits and cross-connect assets, including COGS responsibility related to the timely disconnect of purchased assets
- Maintaining strategic relationships with leadership across Network Engineering, Network Strategy, Network Architecture, NOCC, Network Expense, and all teams within Infrastructure
- Leading major initiative to shift patch panel management to Siebel from manual records
- Focusing on standardization of processes (including hand-offs) to drive greater delivery volume through efficiency and automation
- Integrating provisioning engineering tasks into the team's skill set and responsibility
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
- Have 10 years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent experience
- Have extensive experience working with telecommunications and data center vendors
- Have a track record of solid employee development and engagement
- Possess a drive for process improvement
- Have experience guiding teams through process changes and realignments
CompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $132,100 - $237,900/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
