Job Description:Job Summary:As the
Senior Manager - Division EHS, you will provide senior leadership in all areas of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) across the IPSD footprint - nearly 10,000 employees strong in Brazil, China, India, the UK and the US. You'll have the chance to define the path for this newly created role, indirectly leading and providing strategic direction to nearly 30 global EHS professionals. You'll execute the Enterprise strategic roadmap for EHS functions like safety culture, compliance, auditing, education, employee development, change management, and more to deliver on objectives for regulatory compliance, conformance to corporate procedures, and strategic initiatives to meet division goals.
What You Will Do:- Serves as division EHS process owner to develop and continuously improve EHS processes, tools and training.
- Engages division leadership to lead change and take appropriate actions to address environmental risks and protect employees from hazards in the workplace.
- Creates the vision for change. Develops and facilitates collaborative relationships within the division and across functional groups to ensure strategic goals are achieved.
- Manages, guides and supports the development, implementation, and measurement of strategies that support Caterpillar's Sustainable Development initiatives at the division level.
- This is an informal leader role that will provide broad strategic direction and indirect leadership to nearly 30 EHS professionals globally.
What You Will Have:Sustainability: Working knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model.
Managing Change: Extensive knowledge of the necessity to adapt self and team to evolving business needs; ability to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives that improve the organization's performance in light of new requirements.
Strategic Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Visioning: A working ability to understand the value of articulating an intended business outcome and ability to create and communicates a vision of the organization that motivates others to superior performance.
Matrix Management: Extensive experience leveraging external resources when required and the ability to build and use effective working relationships within own department and across department, functional, and geographic reporting lines.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Expert knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:- Extensive experience leading EHS programs in a heavy manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven success implementing SIF prevention and Human & Organizational Performance frameworks.
- Experience developing and executing strategies for continuous improvement in all aspects of EHS.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and international regulatory frameworks.
- Degree in EHS, Sustainability, or related field.
- CSP, CHMM, etc. certifications.
Summary Pay Range:$172,630.00 - $258,950.00
