Job Summary:

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Product to lead product strategy, delivery, and team performance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 business applications supporting Caterpillar dealers. This leader will manage product managers and cross-functional teams responsible for the roadmap, implementation, adoption, and ongoing enhancement of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or Finance & Operations solutions.

The role will own product outcomes across one or more Dynamics 365 domains, aligning business priorities, customer needs, and technology investments to deliver measurable value and operational improvements.

What You Will Do

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and priorities for Dynamics 365 solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and product owners.
  • Drive alignment between business objectives, customer needs, and technology capabilities.
  • Evaluate new Dynamics 365 capabilities and Microsoft releases to identify opportunities for business value and continuous improvement.

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Oversee the delivery of Dynamics 365 solutions, ensuring quality, usability, security, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Manage prioritization of enhancements, defects, technical debt, and new capabilities across multiple product teams.
  • Ensure effective backlog management, release planning, dependency management, and governance practices.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, and implementation teams to deliver scalable business solutions.

Stakeholder & Change Leadership

  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, dealers, Microsoft, implementation partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap priorities, release impacts, and business value to executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Drive business readiness, user adoption, training enablement, and organizational change activities that maximize product value.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Product Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and monitor KPIs that measure product adoption, operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.
  • Support teams in resolving complex product, process, and operational challenges.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance dealer and customer experiences while improving business performance.

What You Will Have:

  • D365 Application and Platform Knowledge (Customer Engagement or Finance & Operations focus)
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications such as Sales, Customer Insights, Customer Service, Field Service, or Project Operations, or with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations applications such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related ERP capabilities.
    • Strong understanding of D365 configuration, security, data model, integrations, reporting, environment strategy, release waves, and implementation lifecycle considerations.
    • Ability to assess Microsoft release updates, identify business value, prioritize adoption, and guide product teams through roadmap and release impact decisions.
    • Knowledge of enterprise product lifecycle management, adoption, support transition, change management, and continuous improvement for large-scale business applications.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • 10+ years of product management, digital transformation, CRM, ERP, or enterprise application experience.
  • Experience leading product managers, product owners, or cross-functional product teams.
  • Proven success leading Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or Finance & Operations implementations and product roadmaps.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights, Project Operations) and/or Finance & Operations (Finance, Supply Chain, Commerce).
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 configuration, integrations, security, data management, reporting, and implementation lifecycles.
  • Experience leading enterprise software products from strategy through adoption, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Business & Operational Acumen
  • Strong understanding of business processes across sales, service, finance, supply chain, customer experience, and Ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Azure DevOps.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in dealer, manufacturing, industrial distribution, rental, B2B, or B2B2C environments preferred.

  • Up to 20% travel required

 

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $258,570.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
