Job Description:

Caterpillar is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, Digital Product to lead the strategy, development, adoption, and continuous evolution of Caterpillar's digital product suite supporting Enterprise Capacity Requirements (EPP/ECR) and related capacity and agility planning processes. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing a global team of Digital Product Owners, Developers, and Analysts while ensuring delivery of innovative digital solutions that enable enterprise planning, capacity visibility, data-driven decision making, and business value creation.

The Senior Manager, Digital Product will serve as a key liaison between business process owners, Supply Chain, Procurement, Information Technology, and data organizations to align product strategy with business objectives. You will drive product roadmap execution, prioritize enhancements and new capabilities, monitor adoption and performance, and ensure product investments deliver measurable value. Success in this role requires strong digital product management expertise, excellent communication skills, strategic leadership, and the ability to navigate complex business and technical environments.

What you will do:

Digital Product Leadership
  • Lead the day-to-day management, strategy, and execution of Caterpillar's Enterprise Capacity Requirements (EPP/ECR) digital product portfolio and related solutions.
  • Manage and develop a global team of Digital Product Owners, Developers, and Analysts to achieve product objectives and business outcomes.
  • Define, communicate, and execute product vision, strategy, functional roadmaps, and release plans.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including planning, development, deployment, adoption, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive product engagement, user adoption, and overall customer satisfaction.


Product Delivery & Governance
  • Prioritize issues, enhancements, and new feature requests based on business value, strategic alignment, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Monitor and report on product quality, adoption metrics, value realization, and operational performance.
  • Coordinate with Information Technology, SPPD Data Teams, and other business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of product releases on schedule and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain effective product governance processes and prioritization frameworks.
  • Manage software change requests and enhancement pipelines from internal customers, business units, and stakeholders.


Stakeholder & Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with business process owners, Procurement, Supply Chain leadership, and functional stakeholders to promote and position digital product capabilities.
  • Gather and evaluate business requirements, customer feedback, and market opportunities to influence future product direction.
  • Balance competing priorities and facilitate alignment across business units, technical teams, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Communicate product strategies, roadmaps, and business value to executive and operational audiences.


People Leadership
  • Develop team capabilities in digital product management, product ownership, business analysis, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Coach team members in decision making, stakeholder management, communication, and product leadership.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.

  • Evaluate and prioritize requests from customers, stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and external providers to streamline request management.
  • Monitor market trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Coach others on effective product prioritization methodologies.


Software Product Business Knowledge

Knowledge of software product operations, product strategy, and customer engagement.
  • Define and communicate product vision and long-term roadmap.
  • Drive functional enhancements and identify emerging business opportunities.
  • Analyze customer feedback and user needs to inform product decisions.
  • Lead product planning activities and communicate planned functionality.
  • Manage complex product requirements and customization needs.


Top candidates will also have:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong quantitative foundation in statistics, probability, mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Significant experience in Digital Product Management, Product Ownership, Software Development, Business Analysis, Supply Chain Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven success leading teams and managing complex cross-functional initiatives within a global organization.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Capacity Requirements (EPP/ECR) processes, planning systems, and related business workflows.
  • Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, ERP, and supply chain data environments.
  • Programming or code development experience utilizing technologies such as Python, C#, C++, TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience working with SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) opportunities to improve business outcomes.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into scalable digital products, analytics solutions, and data-driven capabilities.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic priorities, user needs, and technical considerations while delivering measurable product value.


Additional information:
  • Primary Work Location: This role can be based in Mossville, IL or Irving, TX and will require working onsite five days a week.
  • Relocation: Domestic relocation assistance is available.
  • Travel: This position will require occasional travel projected at 10-20%.

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $258,570.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
