Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing will lead the strategy, development, execution, and optimization of integrated digital marketing initiatives for the company's marketed brand across multiple indications and priority audiences in the U.S. The role is expected to have an initial emphasis on patient and caregiver marketing while maintaining flexibility to support healthcare professional and other digital initiatives as the business needs evolve.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, this individual will partner closely with patient marketing leads, other Brand Marketing stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate brand, indication, and audience strategies into connected, compliant, and measurable digital experiences. The Senior Manager will contribute deep digital expertise to shape customer journeys, channel strategies, content experiences, and engagement programs that support commercial objectives and address the needs of patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and other priority audiences.

The person in this role will collaborate closely with Analytics & Insights, Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR), IT, agency partners, technology providers, and other external partners. The Senior Manager will provide digital strategic direction while maintaining hands-on ownership of execution, measurement, and optimization, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable regulatory and privacy requirements.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative and agile digital marketer who can move effectively between strategy and execution, influence without direct authority, and help advance capabilities such as personalization, customer relationship management, marketing automation, AI-enabled engagement, and omnichannel optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with patient marketing leads, other Brand Marketing stakeholders, Analytics and Insights, and agency partners to develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies and tactical plans aligned with brand, indication, audience, and patient objectives.
  • Leads the execution and ongoing optimization of digital and omnichannel initiatives supporting the company's marketed brand and related disease-state education across multiple indications and priority audiences.
  • Evaluate emerging digital capabilities and channel opportunities, and translate relevant innovations into practical use cases that improve audience, engagement, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Lead measurement planning and performance evaluation across digital initiatives, working with Analytics and Insights, and agency partners to establish objectives, key performance indicators, and reporting frameworks; translate results into actionable recommendations and ongoing optimization.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners, technology providers, and other external partners within assigned areas of responsibility, including supporting scope development, monitoring performance, coordinating contracting and procurement activities, and overseeing budget tracking and invoicing.
  • Serve as the digital subject-matter expert within cross-functional brand teams and participate in promotional review meetings as needed, advising HCP and patient/caregiver brand leads and Medical, Legal, Regulatory stakeholders on channel requirements, user experience, technical considerations, and compliant digital execution.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve digital marketing processes, workflows, and ways of working, increasing operational efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Manage competing priorities, timelines, dependencies, and risks across assigned digital initiatives, maintaining alignment with business objectives and proactively communicating trade-offs and escalations.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field required; MBA or other relevant master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong focus on digital marketing and experience within pharmaceuticals or another highly regulated healthcare environment.
  • Experience developing, executing, and optimizing integrated digital marketing initiatives across owned and paid channels, including websites and user experience, email/CRM, paid social, paid search, display, and SEO.
  • Experience developing branded and unbranded digital marketing initiatives for patient and caregiver audiences, including disease and treatment education, awareness, engagement, and activation; experience supporting HCP digital marketing is also preferred.
  • Experience using insights from web analytics, business intelligence, CRM, paid-media, and search intelligence platforms such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SEMrush, or comparable tools to evaluate performance and inform marketing decisions
  • Experience evaluating or applying AI-enabled marketing capabilities and emerging search and discovery practices, including generative engine optimization (GEO), preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to manage multiple concurrent digital initiatives, timelines, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills, including the ability to communicate complex scientific and digital concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Working understanding of pharmaceutical promotional, regulatory, and data privacy requirements and their application to digital marketing and execution.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical content management and promotional review platforms, such as Veeva PromoMats, preferred.
  • Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
  • Boxed Warning product experience preferred.
  • Requires travel, including weekend travel, up to 20%.

Location and Work Arrangement
This position is based in Burlington, Massachusetts, and follows a hybrid work model requiring on-site presence three days per week.

The expected salary range for this position based on greater Boston, MA location is $137,700 - 178,500. Actual salary pay will be based on multiple factors, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
