Responsibilities

  • Lead the Product Development team for key Dial cleansing categories.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and other partners to support business priorities.

  • Plan and manage formulation activities for Dial cleansing projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of innovation and cost-savings projects that meet technical requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout formulation development and commercialization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and manage risks.

Full Job Description
What you'll do
  • The Senior R&D Manager will lead a Product Development team supporting key Dial cleansing categories. This role is responsible for managing product development activities, developing the team's technical capabilities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, in full, and in accordance with performance, quality, cost, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • The Senior R&D Manager will work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Consumer Insights, Regulatory, and other partners to support business and portfolio priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Product Development team, setting clear expectations, priorities, and development goals.
  • Plan and manage formulation and product development activities across assigned Dial cleansing projects.
  • Ensure innovation, renovation, cost-savings, and business-continuity projects are delivered on time and meet established technical requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support problem-solving throughout formulation development, testing, scale-up, and commercialization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, align responsibilities, manage risks, and resolve issues.
  • Support the development of product and technology roadmaps based on brand priorities, consumer needs, and technical opportunities.
  • Stay informed of relevant trends, competitive products, ingredients, technologies, and claims within body cleansing and hand hygiene to help identify innovation opportunities.
  • Manage team resources, project priorities, technical documentation, and external development support as needed.
What makes you a good fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in consumer products, personal care, cosmetics, or a related field.
  • At least three to five years of people-management experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop technical employees.
  • Strong formulation and product-development knowledge; experience with personal cleansing products, surfactant systems, or related consumer products is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle, including formulation, testing, stability, scale-up, manufacturing, claims, safety, regulatory requirements, and commercialization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established timelines and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound technical judgment.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage upward and downward.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is $130,000.00 and $160,000.00 This range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate's skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
