Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Reporting, the Senior Manager, Corporate Reporting will play a central role in overseeing goeasy's corporate head office accounting and the consolidation of its Canadian businesses. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical financial reporting processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of results throughout each reporting cycle.

You'll lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, while also supporting ad hoc initiatives and projects that contribute to process improvements and business growth. Working cross-functionally, you'll help elevate reporting capabilities and provide insights that support informed decision-making at the corporate level.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead the month-end financial statement close process including the consolidation, Canadian legal entity reporting and management reporting processes and ensure reporting deadlines are met and potential issues that could affect the results are resolved prior to closing the books.
  • Develop procedures and processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of consolidation.
  • Manage and ensure that proper processes are in place for the timely and accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Manage corporate accounting including payroll and treasury accounting, among others.
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis.
  • Coordinate all interactions with the external auditors to ensure support is provided and audit issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide support in preparing quarterly and annual regulatory requirements including the preparation of note disclosures and shareholder materials.
  • Support the CEO/CFO certification processes, including supporting the internal audit team in their control testing and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
  • Oversees the OneStream platform by managing and developing management reports and external financial reports within the platform.
  • Keep abreast of new accounting pronouncements and analyze their impact.
  • Identify and implement best practices across finance functions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses, as required.

What experience do you have?
  • CPA, CA designation or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in public accounting is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance role including recent experience in accounting and consolidation, a minimum of 2 years of post-designation experience in management capacity is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft D365, OneStream, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • Highly analytical thinker with a team-oriented, solutions-focused approach.
