Senior Manager, Contracts

Position Overview

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Contracts to manage contracts personnel, contracts, and proposal efforts spanning all Aurora programs. The successful candidate must (1) have personnel management experience (2) be thoroughly familiar with the FARs, DFARs, USC and related regulations as well as commercial requirements, (3) be experienced working both as a prime contractor and in a subcontractor environment, and (4) have in depth knowledge of all contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, LOE, OTA, etc.). Work will encompass a wide variety of applications including substantial new business support, ongoing programs, R&D contracts, production and prototyping. The Manager will work closely with the contracts staff, Finance, Program Office(s) and other functional departments for resolution of issues prior to negotiating and executing agreements and through the administration of the agreements. Applicant will need knowledge of the ITAR and EAR to support the enterprise and ensure compliance. Applicant should be comfortable working in a rapidly growing organization, interacting with all levels of the organization, demonstrate the capability of being a strong leader, work under minimum supervision and be and play an integral role in leading change processes.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Create positive relationships by maintaining open, honest, and candid communication.
- Manage Contracts Personnel while also being an individual contributor.
- Prepare/review agreements for customers, business partners, & prime contractors to include NDAs, teaming agreements, contracts, term conditions, etc.
- Responsible for cradle-to-grave contracting which may include but not be limited to RFP review and comment as well as contract closeout preparation.
- Support the managing and tracking of Government property.
- Assist in DCMA/DCAA and external/internal audits as required.
- Coordinate contracts/marketing/proposal activities with Business Development personnel, Program Office, Finance, Supply Chain, and other departments.
- Support Supply Chain with the preparation of RFPs for subcontractors/vendors as required and coordinate flow down provisions.
- Set up new contract efforts in the company's enterprise resource planning tool.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in management, business administration or contracts administration unless candidate has acceptable level of comparable experience.
- 15+ years of professional experience involving contract administration/management is required.
- Working knowledge of FARS/DFARS and other procurement regulations is required
- Experience and knowledge of export regulations is required.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Project, Excel, and SQL queries is very helpful.
- Experience with international/commercial contracting is desired but not a requirement.
- Experience in managing and asserting intellectual property rights is desired.
- Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Requirements

- Advance degrees such as MS or JD preferably in management or business administration.
- Experience with international/commercial contracting.
- Experience in managing and asserting intellectual property rights.
- Experience in SQL queries.

Physical Requirements

- This position requires the ability to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to travel to various domestic 3rd party and/or Boeing/Aurora sites (up to 10% travel).

Salary Range (Annualized USD)
  • Minimum Range: $102,000.00 to $182,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $124,000.00 to $220,000.00
