The Senior Manager - Contamination Control and Sterility Assurance HWS, QARA is responsible for leading contamination control and sterility assurance activities across multiple sites within Cytiva, ensuring consistent compliance, operational performance, and audit readiness. This role provides both leadership and technical oversight, ensuring that contamination control, microbial control, sterilization, and aseptic processing practices are effectively implemented to support business needs, product quality, and customer expectations.
This position reports to the Director Global CCSA and is part of the Contamination Control and Sterility organization and will be based in Duncan, SC and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Lead multi-site contamination control and sterility assurance activities, ensuring alignment to Cytiva's global standards.
- Drive site KPI performance, monitoring key metrics and supporting sites to meet defined targets
- Ensure consistent implementation of global CCSA policies and procedures across all assigned sites
- Support and lead problem solving activities (RCA/CAPA) related to sterility assurance and microbial control
- Partner with site Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective execution and compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sterility assurance and contamination control performance
- Act as a key interface between global CCSA strategy and site execution
The essential requirements of the job include : - Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific discipline (advanced degree desirable)
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry
- Strong expertise in: Sterilization (terminal and/or aseptic processing) and Microbial and contamination control programs
- Proven experience managing multi-site responsibilities
- Strong experience supporting customer and regulatory audits
- Demonstrated capability in problem solving (RCA, CAPA) and compliance management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:- Willingness to travel 20-30% domestically and internationally
