Cloud Security Architect (Senior Manager)

Join Deloitte's Cloud Cyber Risk practice and help organizations secure cloud transformation at scale. As a Cloud Security Architect (Manager), you will advise clients on cloud security strategy, architecture, implementation, and operations across leading cloud platforms. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex cyber engagements, work directly with clients, and help organizations manage cyber risk while enabling innovation.

Work you'll do

As a Cloud Security Architect (Senior Manager) on the Cloud Cyber Risk team, you will be responsible for...
  • Leading cloud cyber risk engagements across assessment, design, implementation, and post-implementation phases for client environments.
  • Advising clients on cloud security architecture, configuration standards, and risk mitigation strategies across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud.
  • Overseeing the delivery of project workstreams, including technical assessments, solution designs, security recommendations, and coordination of onshore and offshore resources.
  • Supporting the implementation and optimization of cloud security technologies, including cloud native application protection platform, cloud security posture management, cloud workload protection platform, identity and access management, security monitoring, and DevSecOps controls.
  • Contributing to business development, thought leadership, talent development, and coaching activities within the practice.

Deloitte's Cloud Cyber Risk team helps organizations pursue growth, innovation, and performance through proactive management of cyber risk. The team provides advisory and implementation services that combine risk, regulatory, and technology capabilities to help clients modernize legacy security programs and strengthen their cloud environments. Professionals in this practice work across industries to design and implement scalable, resilient cloud security solutions.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 6+ years of experience in technical consulting, client problem solving, and solution architecture for cloud security engagements.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing security solutions across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud environments.
  • 2+ years of experience designing enterprise cloud security architectures and strategies.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud native application protection platform, cloud security posture management, or cloud workload protection platform technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or another technical field.
  • Ability to travel 80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
  • Experience in consulting or Big 4 environments.
  • Industry or vendor certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional or cloud architect certifications.
  • Experience with virtualization security across compute, network, storage, endpoint, or application layers.
  • Experience designing identity and access management technologies and services.
  • Experience managing enterprise security infrastructure and perimeter security appliances, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, endpoint protection, or security information and event management platforms.
  • Experience with ISO 27001, ISO 27018, National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Special Publication 800-53, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, System and Organization Controls 2, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, or Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requirements.
