Senior Manager, CEO Communications to help support its CEO Khozema Shipchandler. In this highly visible, fast-paced, and strategic role, you will help shape and manage the CEO's external communications, building a high-impact narrative that elevates his voice across global stages, key industry moments, and digital channels.
This role sits within Twilio's Corporate Communications team, which is responsible for shaping and delivering Twilio's story to media, customers, industry analysts, and employees. You will collaborate closely with partners across Product Marketing, Investor Relations, Legal, Brand, and Corporate Communications to align the CEO's external communications with our overarching business strategy.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll:
- Drive Strategic Messaging: Lead the development of high-impact executive messaging for the CEO across key milestones, including quarterly earnings, corporate announcements, company milestones, and strategic business priorities.
- Shape Thought Leadership: Partner with PR and social media teams to conceptualize and execute a compelling thought leadership program. This includes ghostwriting long-form narratives and bylines.
- Drive Media Relations: Lead proactive media outreach, crafting pitches and securing high-profile placements, feature profiles, and speaking opportunities that align with Twilio's corporate narrative.
- Own CEO Social Presence: Direct, manage, and continuously grow the CEO's LinkedIn presence, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and authentic digital footprint.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Serve as a bridge across the business, working in lockstep with the CEO and other key teams.

*Required:- 8+ years of experience in executive communications, corporate communications, or public relations, ideally within a high-growth or enterprise technology environment.
- Proven track record of directly supporting and advising C-suite leaders in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with deep executive judgment and the ability to capture a specific leader's authentic voice.
- Hands-on media relations experience, with a demonstrated ability to successfully pitch and place complex stories in top-tier business and technology outlets.
- Strategic and systematic thinker who can establish high-level narratives and execute them with tactical precision.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a calm-under-pressure demeanor and the ability to manage competing priorities on tight timelines.
- Strong collaborative and influencing skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed global organizations without formal authority.
Desired:- Active practitioner of AI: Strong interest in how artificial intelligence is transforming public relations and communications, with a willingness to lead change and build innovative workflows using AI tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise technology: A solid baseline understanding of cloud communications, API technologies, data platforms, or financial/corporate communications.
- Experience managing executive social media presence (e.g., LinkedIn) with an eye for digital engagement trends.
- Experience working inside a fast-paced agency environment as well as in-house.
LocationThis role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.
Travel We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 20% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

Compensation*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $141,520 - $176,900.
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $149,840 - $187,300.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $166,400 - $208,000.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
