Senior Manager, Capital Expenditures

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll be a key finance partner across the business and lead a team responsible for the financial stewardship of Enwave's capital portfolio.
What you'll do
You'll lead Enwave's five-year capital plan and annual capital budget, and oversee capital forecasting, monthly reporting, and performance monitoring. You'll work closely with business leaders to make sure investments are aligned with organizational priorities and supported by clear, useful analysis.
You'll also oversee capital governance, compliance, and audit activities, including government funding programs, investment tax credits, internal controls, and external audit coordination. You'll manage the financial lifecycle of capital projects from planning through completion, helping ensure the right controls and standards are applied along the way.
As a people leader and trusted business partner, you'll coach and develop a small team, build strong relationships across the organization, and improve the systems, processes, and reporting that support capital management. You'll help make capital information easier to use, more reliable, and more valuable to the business.
What we're looking for
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or a related finance role
• At least 3 years of leadership experience with demonstrated people management responsibilities
• CPA/CA designation (or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and capitalization requirements
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis activities
• Proven ability to partner with operational and business leaders to support decision-making
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to simplify complex financial information for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading process improvement, change management, or systems enhancement initiatives
• Experience with capital management system implementation is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Power BI is considered an asset
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this role is, $140,000 to $155,000 CAD Annually based on experience, skills, and alignment with the role.
