The Senior Manager, Business Development, Tech & Financial Services will be responsible for building and expanding Verilogue's presence within technology companies, AI developers, investment firms, data buyers, and other non-traditional healthcare clients.

This role combines consultative selling, relationship development, market creation, strategic partnership management, and AI-enabled execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a growth environment, enjoys opening new markets, and can use Verilogue's internal AI tools to work faster, identify better opportunities, improve client engagement, and build repeatable workflows that increase commercial impact

The Senior Manager will own a portfolio of opportunities, develop strategic growth plans, generate new business, and serve as a key contributor to Verilogue's long-term expansion strategy.

Responsibilities

Drive Revenue Growth
• Generate and close new business opportunities across technology, AI/ML, data licensing, and financial services sectors.
• Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective clients, strategic partners, and buyers.
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution.
• Build relationships with executives, product leaders, data procurement teams, research teams, and investment professionals.
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.

Build the Tech & Financial Services Vertical
• Identify emerging market opportunities for Verilogue's data, products, and capabilities.
• Help define go-to-market strategies, pricing approaches, and commercial packaging for new offerings.
• Provide market feedback to Product, Research, Legal, and Leadership teams to improve commercialization efforts.
• Establish Verilogue as a trusted partner within technology and financial services communities.
• Represent Verilogue at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.

Strategic Account Development
• Develop account growth plans for priority organizations.
• Understand client business objectives and align Verilogue capabilities to their needs.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to support successful client engagements.
• Create compelling business cases and proposals that demonstrate measurable value.

Internal Collaboration
• Partner closely with Research, Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to support opportunity development and execution.
• Assist with contract negotiations and commercialization planning for new offerings.
• Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting within Salesforce.
• Use Verilogue's internal AI tools to improve prospecting, account research, pipeline development, proposal creation, and client follow-up while identifying repeatable business development workflows that can be improved or automated through AI.
• Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability across business development efforts.

Qualifications

Required
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, strategic partnerships, investment research, data commercialization, or a related field.
• Proven ability to generate and close net-new business opportunities.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.
• Experience presenting to senior decision-makers and complex buying groups.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated comfort using AI tools to improve productivity, research, communication, and business development outcomes.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management processes.

Preferred
• Experience working with hedge funds, asset managers, venture capital firms, private equity firms, technology companies, or AI organizations
• Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, technology, artificial intelligence, investment research, or financial services industries.
• Experience selling data, analytics, research, AI solutions, or information products.
• Understanding of data licensing, alternative data, or enterprise data sales.

Compensation Range: USD $75,050.00 - USD $107,835.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
