Senior Manager, Business Development - Acquisitions & Divestments

Location: Austin, Denver, or San Francisco

The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development - Acquisitions & Divestments to join our growing team. This role will support the identification, evaluation, execution, and negotiation of acquisition and divestment opportunities across our renewable energy portfolio.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across development, finance, legal, engineering, commercial, and asset management teams, as well as with external advisors, counterparties, investors, and other market participants.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, highly analytical professional with experience in business development, M&A, acquisitions, divestments, transaction execution, valuation, and strategic portfolio management within infrastructure, energy, renewables, or related sectors.

What you'll do

  • Identify, assess, and support acquisition and divestment opportunities aligned with business strategy
  • Lead or support transaction workstreams from origination through execution and close
  • Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, and investment cases
  • Coordinate due diligence processes across internal and external stakeholders
  • Support negotiations of transaction terms and manage key commercial issues
  • Prepare presentations, investment papers, teasers, and other decision materials
  • Work collaboratively with legal, finance, tax, engineering, and development teams to assess risks and structure solutions
  • Help maintain a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities in target markets
  • Support market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic portfolio reviews
  • Engage with advisors, counterparties, and external stakeholders in a professional and credible manner


What we're looking for

  • Significant experience in business development, M&A, acquisitions, divestments, transaction execution, or corporate development
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with valuation, investment analysis, and/or financial modelling
  • Experience working in renewable energy, infrastructure, energy transition, utilities, investment banking, advisory, private equity, or a similar environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail, commercial judgement, and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with senior stakeholders
  • Degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related field preferred
