  • Deploy and optimize technologies including vision-guided robotics and inspection systems, barcode and traceability solutions, AMRs, and MES
  • Build strong business cases with detailed ROI/IRR analysis to justify automation investments
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, IT, and Finance teams to integrate solutions seamlessly
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Mentor and grow high-performing teams across multiple sites

Senior Manager, Automation
Location: Raleigh, NC | Full-Time | Onsite

Are you passionate about transforming manufacturing through smart automation? Millennium Print Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Automation to lead high-impact automation initiatives across our enterprise. This is a unique opportunity to deliver innovative, ROI-driven solutions that shape the future of how we operate.

As a key member of our Operations Support team, you'll drive strategic projects across our manufacturing and supply chain network-integrating advanced technologies like robotics, autonomous mobile robots, and traceability systems. We're looking for a forward-thinking leader who combines technical expertise with business acumen and excels in cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive automation roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead large-scale capital projects from concept through implementation.
  • Deploy and optimize technologies including:
  • Vision-guided robotics and inspection systems
  • Barcode and traceability solutions
  • Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Build strong business cases with detailed ROI/IRR analysis to justify automation investments.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, IT, and Finance teams to integrate solutions seamlessly.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor and grow high-performing teams across multiple sites.
  • Foster collaboration across all levels-from plant floors to the executive suite.
What You'll Bring

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering
  • Proven track record leading multimillion-dollar CapEx and automation projects
  • Expertise in robotics, AMRs, vision systems, barcode technology, and MES
  • Strong financial acumen for ROI/IRR modeling and capital planning
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and digital transformation initiatives

Preferred:
  • PMP or Certified Automation Professional (CAP)
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Familiarity with MES/SCADA platforms like Ignition, Siemens, or Rockwell
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Work is split between office and production floor environments.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both one-on-one and group settings and read digital documents and presentations.
