Job DescriptionThe Audit Senior Manager, Risk Transformation PMO, is a new role that will actively support and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of short- and long-term IAG outcomes related to Risk Transformation (RT). This role will help execute and enhance QC routines over key project artifacts, audit/validation documentation, reporting inputs, and other materials used to support IAG's independent assurance, challenge, and executive reporting responsibilities. The Manager will apply strong audit judgment, data analytics, and emerging technology techniques to identify documentation gaps, data inconsistencies, execution risks, and opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of QC processes.
Responsibilities- Support coordination of the Risk Transformation effort across IAG to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate audit documentation for consistency with IAG methodology, quality standards, documented guidance, and expected PMO review protocols.
- Identify documentation gaps, data inconsistencies, completeness issues, timeliness concerns, and potential execution risks; clearly document QC observations and support resolution with accountable owners.
- Apply data analytics, automation, AI-enabled techniques, and other innovative approaches to streamline QC, improve data integrity, identify trends, and reduce manual effort across recurring PMO processes.
- Coordinate with audit teams, Audit Leaders, PMO stakeholders, and enterprise partners to obtain required information, clarify expectations, resolve QC feedback, and support timely completion of deliverables.
- Support monitoring and reporting of QC status, open items, aging, themes, escalation items, and key metrics for PMO leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Promote a strong risk-aware and quality-focused culture by reinforcing documentation discipline, accountability, timely escalation, and adherence to audit best practices.
- Support timely program execution by facilitating issue resolution, tracking follow-ups, and helping ensure required artifacts are complete, accurate, and ready for review.
- Effectively coach, teach, mentor, and develop less experienced colleagues and co-sourced resources in geographically diverse locations across all aspects of their role, the audit and analytic lifecycle, audit methodology and best practices
- Guide team to proactively and routinely communicate task status, roadblocks, challenges, suggesting potential solutions to the team
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications- 5+ years of audit experience
- Prior experience in internal audit, risk management, project management, quality review, data analytics, or a related field within financial services.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver deliverables with quality, and actionable value-add feedback to management on issues, opportunity areas, and deficiency solutions
- Effectively leads a team in a fast-paced environment to drive business results, utilizing related project management skills, employing creative thinking, and the ability to work on competing priorities
- Applies critical thinking to break-down complex problems into components, and solve using data analysis, process, risk control knowledge, and experience to drive risk-based conclusions and decisions
- Applies control theory and professional auditing practices throughout the audit lifecycle
- Understands regulations, regulatory risks, accounting, and financial industry best practices relevant to the business, including emerging technology and data considerations, and incorporates into the audit approach to enhance outcomes
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced degree
- CIA, CISA, CPA, PMP, data analytics, automation, or equivalent certification
- Experience performing quality control or quality assurance reviews over audit workpapers, validation documentation, regulatory remediation materials, project artifacts, or executive reporting inputs.
- Experience using data analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools, or innovative techniques to improve audit, QC, reporting, or PMO processes.
- Experience with large-scale regulatory, risk transformation, remediation, issue validation, or governance initiatives, including Project Guardian, Project Oculus, or similar programs.
- Experience with data analytic tools, data visualization, key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs), information systems / technology, and scorecards / dashboards, etc.
- Interest in working with data, interpreting results, analytic best practices and experience with data analytics tools and data visualization
