Then Role

We're looking for an experienced, inspirational Senior Manager, Art Direction to drive the creative output across Depop's marketing channels and advertising campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Creative, you'll help shape how Depop shows up in the world - using our brand identity to position Depop as the home of secondhand fashion and culture.

As a Senior Manager, Art Direction, you'll define the visual heartbeat across our campaigns as well as set the palette and distinction to pull the brand to stronger, sharper stories through visuals. You'll drive concepts, visuals and design hands-on to push our brand's creative output to be better, braver and bolder.

You're craft obsessed and no matter the size of the project, you're into the details from framing to lighting to pixels. Whether it's a campaign, a film, a social-first idea, or a new identity expression, the details matter. The work should feel considered, distinctive, and best in class.

You bring references, inspiration, and partners and raise the creative bar across the team. You challenge briefs thoughtfully, ask the questions others don't and push for the version of the work that truly connects with our audience.

You have a strong point of view, elevated taste and a deep understanding of design and art direction. You lead through intention, clarity, and take real ownership of the quality of everything that you make.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Creative to lead the visual direction across campaigns and content on from top to bottom of funnel, activations, social, brand partnerships and talent partnerships
  • Drive concepts, design and art direction from idea to final execution, ensuring work feels polished, intentional, and impactful
  • Set the visual tone for projects, guiding teams toward sharper, stronger outputs
  • Shape and maintain the Depop brand identity across all platforms, making sure it's consistent, recognisable, and flexible enough to evolve
  • Think beyond the screen: help build ideas that can live as experiences, activations, products or content ecosystems
  • Mentor and support designers and art directors (full-time and freelance) within the team, providing feedback, guidance and inspiration to elevate creative output.
  • Work cross-functionally within the marketing and product org, agencies and partners to ensure creative meets both strategic and creative goals
  • Present work confidently to internal teams, different levels of stakeholders and external partners
  • Spot opportunities for collaborations, partnerships or cultural moments that align with Depop's values of community, sustainability, and entrepreneurship
  • Be our local ear to the ground in the US. Stay curious and plugged into visual culture, design trends, consumer behaviour, and emerging tools, bringing fresh perspective into the work
