Responsibilities
• Provides strategic and operational leadership of the Vitech application portfolio, including legacy V3 Version 8 operations, V3locity migration and stabilization activities, production support, vendor coordination, application governance, and long-range platform planning
• Provide oversight to ensure Vitech application work is effectively prioritized, staffed, governed, escalated, and aligned with the Funds' business and technology objectives.
• Enhance portfolio oversight, cross-functional coordination, vendor governance, resource planning, operational stability, and succession planning for core benefit-administration systems supporting Pension, Pension Payment, Employer Contract and Contribution Administration, Eligibility, Disability Claim Processing, and related Fund operations.
• Oversee major Vitech-related initiatives, including migration, testing, defect resolution, stabilization, release planning, risk tracking, dependency management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Act as the primary Information Technology (IT) management liaison for Vitech/Majesco and other third-party vendors, overseeing contract deliverables, service performance, issue escalation, and vendor accountability.
• Establish and enforce application governance standards, including development practices, change control, documentation, testing standards, release discipline, and operational support procedures.
• Deliver executive-level communication and advisory support to IT leadership and business stakeholders on Vitech application strategy, status, risks, priorities, decisions, and operational issues.
• Lead workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer, and cross-training initiatives for the Vitech applications area.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in enterprise application development, application management, or technology leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing managers, technical leads, developers, analysts, consultants, or mixed internal/vendor delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application governance, SDLC practices, testing, release management, change control, production support, and operational risk management.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Java, data migration concepts, cloud application delivery concepts, and enterprise application integration principles.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, project risks, stakeholder communications, and issue escalation for critical business applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical, operational, and business issues to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
