Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance First Line Supervisor with at the Dupont Yerkes Site in Buffalo NY. The primary role of the Senior Maintenance First Line Supervisor is to improve the work force productivity by supporting daily maintenance opportunities and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, coordination of labor, parts and material, tools and equipment, permissions, specialized documentation, and equipment access. They will be responsible for ensuring the safety needs are given a top priority in facilitating daily work. The scope of this position consists of giving direction / assistance to our process mechanics while interfacing with the production group and external construction organization. It will be necessary to interface with vendors to keep abreast of new developments and apply their expertise to solve problems. Your key responsibilities: • Lead and coach team members by implementing programs in technical training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition, and internal employee development. • Supervises the daily shift activities for maintenance systems and facilities maintenance to ensure minimal production downtime related to maintenance systems, work orders, and planned maintenance. • Prioritizes maintenance system and facility repair needs to minimize production downtime, while assuring safety and quality. • Implement established plant safety programs to ensure compliance and a safe working environment. • Respond to maintenance emergency conditions with the accurate mixture of skilled technicians in order to minimize downtime, planning major repairs and installations. • Establish critical system priority lists, ensure all materials used for work orders are tracked, and balance multiple projects simultaneously to completion. Qualifications: • Minimum of 7 years of experience of supervisory experience in maintenance / skilled trades. • Minimum of an Associate's degree in the Engineering field or documented evidence of trades experience (journeyman) • Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems • Proven ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in SAP software • Strong leadership and team management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!
