Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is recruiting for a Senior Logistics Manager in support of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PAE Electronic Systems (AFLCMC/ES).

The Logistics Manager is responsible for providing support that will perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, sustainment, or other designated program.

 

This is a full‑time Onsite role at Hanscom AFB, MA.

 

The Air Force Program Acquisition Executive for Electronic Systems (AFPEO/ES) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Digital portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PAE Electronic Systems Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS. This position currently supports the country of Qatar.

Responsibilities

This position currently supports the country of Qatar.

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program, ensuring support aligns with program timelines.
  • Collaborate with material support managers and product support managers to maintain comprehensive support plans, including sister‑service and coalition coordination.
  • Participate in developing maintenance and life‑cycle logistics plans to support transition to Air Logistics Complex centers.
  • Develop and execute logistics and sustainment plans.
  • Identify and mitigate sustainment problem areas, specifically related to CDA.
  • Coordinate and evaluate functional specialists' efforts to define requirements and develop/adjust plans and schedules.
  • Perform clerical, administrative, and office operations support.
  • Provide logistics analytical support for key metrics such as supply, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Assist with planning, evaluating, and implementing acquisition and sustainment strategies under DoD 5000.2 guidelines.
  • Develop program management documentation supporting all phases of the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.
  • Develop briefings for acquisition decision milestones and sustainment planning.
  • Develop Business Case Analyses IAW AFI 65‑509 and AFMAN 65‑510; trade studies; DoD 5000.02 milestone documents; 2366a/b certifications; program assessments; AoA guidance and reports; IMS; Market Research Reports; ESIS; ASP briefings; and other acquisition analyses as required.
  • Provide expert logistics inputs to RFPs including system specifications, SRDs, SOWs, and CDRLs.
  • Assist with developing program office estimates, financial and research reports, and other financial studies.
  • Develop logistics planning documentation including LCSPs, delivery/deployment plans, ILSPs, Product Support BCAs, DSOR/SORA packages, and DMS plans.
  • Support development of technical trade studies and documentation for integration, upgrade, and modification efforts; aircraft integration may be included.
  • Provide independent readiness analysis for production and risk management.
  • Support engineering studies, analyses, and reports as required.
  • Support T&E strategies, ITT charters, TEMPs, and other unique T&E products.
  • Assist with CBAs, ICDs, CDDs, CPDs, risk assessments, briefings, and staffing documentation.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and develop associated reports.
  • Use CBA visualization tools to support JCIDS product development and feed requirements tracking tools such as DOORS.
  • Support creation of NR‑KPP documentation, ISPs, IASPs, PPPs, and DoDAF architecture views.
  • Assist with initial planning products, reports, and assessments tied to Range Systems, warfighter CONOPS, and training requirements.
  • Develop draft CONOPS, technology assessments, and integrated reports outlining acquisition opportunities and schedules.
  • Support developmental planning studies, analyses, and reports.
  • Support Government source selection activities including evaluation criteria development, documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

 

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Education: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD. OR,
    • High School Diploma and 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD

Technical Skills:

  • Competence in logistics planning, sustainment, and life‑cycle management for weapon systems and DoD programs.
  • Ability to develop LCSPs, ILSPs, BCAs, DSOR/SORA packages, and other logistics documentation.
  • Experience interpreting DoD directives, AFI 99‑103, DODI 5000 series, TO 00‑35D‑54, and similar guidance.
  • Skill in developing acquisition documentation, trade studies, milestone briefs, and program assessments.
  • Ability to analyze logistics metrics including reliability, maintainability, supply, and readiness.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, JCIDS products, CBAs, ICD/CDD/CPD documentation, and DOORS support.
  • Experience supporting T&E strategies, TEMPs, ITT coordination, and evaluation documentation.
  • Ability to develop planning products, CONOPS, technology assessments, and integration documentation.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively within cross‑functional and multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing, briefings, and formal presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate with government stakeholders, support managers, product support managers, and coalition partners.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate with functional specialists and support source‑selection activities.
  • Professional capability to manage complex logistics tasks and maintain effective communication in high‑visibility program environments.

Location: Hanscom AFB, MA. 

Travel: Middle East (specifically Qatar) and other CENTCOM venues; CONUS and OCONUS may be required
