We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), Veritas Volume Manager (VXVM), and Ansible Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Linux server administration, OS upgrades, cluster management, automation, compliance, and infrastructure support in complex enterprise environments consisting of both physical and virtual servers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Linux administration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
Execute RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 in-place upgrades and manage OS lifecycle activities.
Perform firmware upgrades and system maintenance on physical and virtual servers.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and VXVM environments.
Manage VCS service groups, cluster failover, and high-availability solutions.
Configure and troubleshoot HBA, multipathing, and NIC bonding/load balancing.
Support RAC cluster prerequisite setup and related infrastructure requirements.
Implement and maintain OS compliance standards and compliance tools.
Develop and maintain automation using Ansible for:
OS provisioning and configuration
Patch management
User management
Package installation
System hardening and compliance
Create and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables.
Integrate automation workflows with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Perform system performance monitoring, incident resolution, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Provide production support, participate in on-call rotation, and support weekend maintenance activities when required.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve infrastructure issues and ensure service availability.
Required Skills
Strong experience in Linux Administration (RHEL 7/8).
Hands-on experience with RHEL 7 to 8 In-Place Upgrades.
Expertise in Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Veritas Volume Manager (VXVM).
Experience managing high-availability clusters and service groups.
Experience with Shell Scripting and basic Perl scripting.
Knowledge of RAC cluster setup prerequisites.
Experience with OS compliance tools and compliance management.
Strong understanding of storage, HBA, multipathing, and NIC load balancing.
Hands-on experience with Ansible automation.
Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in large-scale enterprise data center environments.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms and cloud technologies.
Relevant Red Hat, Veritas, or Automation certifications preferred.
Mandatory Skills: Linux Admin.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
