Duties: Responsible for delivering technical boiler and machinery courses and for maintaining the highest standards of technical accuracy and content quality. Lead instructional sessions that build critical-thinking skills through real-world scenarios and hands-on learning. Responsible for all aspects of technical education and development, including conducting needs analyses, creating and updating training materials, and ensuring content reflects current and consistent discipline-specific practices, procedures, and systems. Facilitate both classroom and field-based instruction, and collaborate with corporate departments, divisions, and operations centers to support organizational learning needs.
Qualifications
Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field) or related field of study, and 7 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving commercial property loss prevention engineering, including evaluating commercial property hazards and providing loss-prevention recommendations. Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: assessing and evaluating Boiler and Machinery (B&M) property risks and hazards, including analysis of pressure vessels, turbines, compressors, and electrical distribution equipment; and translating B&M technical requirements into realistic loss scenario exercises for use in training programs. Experience specified must include 3 years of experience applying FM Data Sheets to assess B&M equipment hazards and protective features; 2 years of experience explaining complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; and 2 years of experience providing training consultation to managers, field engineers, operations centers, and client teams to support business objectives. Experience specified must also include 1 year of experience with each of the following: reviewing B&M training programs, including curriculum design, analysis of industry trends, and evaluation of measurable business outcomes for a global audience; all phases of instructional design from implementation, performing training needs assessments, and designing and delivering hands-on active learning and remote learning programs; technical education and training; facilitating learning opportunities through complex and innovative curricula, programs, workshops, courses, and materials for instructor-led, virtual, online, and blended environments targeting a global audience in corporate environments; collaborating with diverse colleagues in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary global environment; and leading, coaching, and mentoring high performing teams. Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
