About the Role

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business growth for FIS's Debit Issuing Solutions portfolio across regional and community financial institutions. You will build pipeline from the ground up through proactive prospecting, strategic outreach, and industry networking, helping banks modernize and grow their debit card programs.

This is a true hunter role focused on acquiring net-new clients and expanding FIS's presence within the issuing market. Success requires high outbound activity, strong discovery skills, and the ability to position debit issuing, debit processing, card management, fraud prevention, and digital card solutions as strategic drivers of growth and customer engagement.

What You'll Do
  • Proactively generate new business through cold calling, outbound prospecting, referrals, and industry networking
  • Build, manage, and continuously replenish a healthy pipeline with a focus on net-new regional and community bank clients
  • Identify opportunities to help financial institutions optimize and modernize their debit card programs
  • Lead discovery conversations focused on card portfolio growth, cardholder engagement, operational efficiency, fraud mitigation, and digital transformation
  • Position FIS debit issuing and processing solutions as strategic enablers of revenue growth and customer retention
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through negotiation and contract execution
  • Develop executive-level relationships with retail banking, payments, card services, and operations leaders
  • Collaborate with solution consultants and product partners to design tailored debit program strategies
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and business cases to senior banking stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close complex, consultative sales opportunities
  • Consistently achieve or exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets
  • Represent FIS at industry events, banking conferences, and payments forums


What You Bring
  • Experience selling debit issuing, debit processing, card services, or payments solutions into regional and community banks
  • Proven track record of self-sourcing opportunities and building pipeline through proactive prospecting
  • Demonstrated success in new logo acquisition and consultative solution selling
  • Strong understanding of debit card ecosystems, issuer processing, card networks, and banking operations
  • Ability to engage executive and line-of-business stakeholders across retail banking, payments, card services, and operations
  • Exceptional communication, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience


Added Bonus If You Have
  • Experience selling debit processing, issuer processing, card management, fraud prevention, loyalty, instant issuance, or digital card solutions
  • Existing relationships with regional and community bank executives
  • Familiarity with Visa, Mastercard, debit network, and card issuing ecosystems
  • Experience selling within the financial technology or payments industry
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape across card issuing and payments providers
  • High level of resilience, discipline, and motivation in a quota-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The pay range for this full-time position is $161,090.00 - $273,860.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
