This Opportunity

WSP USA is currently initiating a search for a Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Movable Bridge Group in Miami, FL and surrounding areas. This role will support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects and contribute to the design, coordination, and execution of electrical systems across multidisciplinary teams.
Your Impact
  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for infrastructure projects (e.g., power distribution, lighting, grounding, and life safety systems).
  • Prepare and oversee engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, and systems engineering groups.
  • Participate in all project phases from planning and design through construction support and closeout.
  • Lead electrical inspections of movable structures.
  • Review design deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and WSP quality requirements.
  • Support construction services including RFIs, submittal reviews, field inspections, and site coordination.
  • Contribute to project management activities including scope, schedule, and budget tracking.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
  • Support proposal efforts, client interactions, and business development initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE) and regulatory requirements.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and project delivery.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Demonstrated experience designing electrical systems for infrastructure, transportation, or similar large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and industry standards.
  • Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Prior experience with client management or project leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting proposal development and business growth initiatives.
