About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Digital Product Manager to serve as the Portfolio Management Lead within Merchant Services Product. This role partners closely with the Merchant Services Product Executive and leadership team to drive portfolio transparency, strategic planning, executive communications, governance, and organizational effectiveness.

The Portfolio Management Lead serves as a force multiplier for product leadership by providing visibility into portfolio performance, strategic initiatives, investment priorities, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.

This role is responsible for establishing the reporting, governance, communications, and operating frameworks that drive informed decision-making and successful execution across the Merchant Services Product organization. Partnering closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, and other enterprise stakeholders, the leader provides transparency into portfolio priorities, performance, risks, and strategic opportunities. Combining strategic planning, executive communications, portfolio governance, and operational leadership, this role enables organizational alignment, execution discipline, and scalable growth across the product organization.

In this role, you will:

Portfolio Management
  • Own the development, maintenance, and publication of the Product Portfolio Package.
  • Consolidate portfolio performance, strategic initiatives, accomplishments, risks, dependencies, and investment priorities into executive-ready reporting.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio governance processes and standards.
  • Support quarterly and annual planning activities.
  • Support portfolio prioritization discussions by providing data, analysis, and portfolio insights.


Product Executive Reporting & Insights
  • Develop portfolio dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Measure and communicate portfolio health, delivery performance, investment alignment, and business outcomes.
  • Identify emerging risks, dependencies, delivery concerns, and areas requiring leadership attention.
  • Provide analytical support for executive decision-making and strategic planning.


Product Strategic Communications
  • Own the communication strategy for the Product organization.
  • Develop leadership presentations, executive briefings, organizational announcements, and portfolio updates.


Product Leadership & Business Routines
  • Manage leadership operating cadences and/or other routines.
  • Coordinate agenda planning, materials preparation, meeting facilitation support, and action tracking.
  • Drive preparation for executive reviews, planning sessions, and business reviews.
  • Ensure leadership commitments, decisions, and follow-up actions are appropriately documented and tracked.


Product Organizational Effectiveness
  • Drive process improvements that increase organizational efficiency and transparency.
  • Partner with Product Planning & Enablement and Product Delivery to improve portfolio management practices and operating models.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify reporting and communication processes.


Product Knowledge Management & Operational Excellence
  • Maintain portfolio documentation, knowledge repositories, SharePoint sites, and communication artifacts.
  • Establish standards for executive reporting, portfolio communication, and organizational documentation.
  • Create clear and consistent messaging regarding product strategy, priorities, accomplishments, and organizational changes.
  • Ensure alignment of communications across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and partner organizations.


Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of the Merchant Services and Payments industry, including payment processing, acquiring, merchant operations, and portfolio management.
  • Proven experience establishing and scaling product and portfolio management frameworks, governance standards, operating models, and delivery infrastructure within complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio governance, prioritization, performance management, and strategic execution across cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance operational effectiveness, decision-making, and portfolio management practices.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira and Confluence, with the ability to drive execution in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into concise, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated success developing executive dashboards, leadership reporting, portfolio analytics, and KPI frameworks that support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and program management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and influence outcomes across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Business leadership teams.
  • Track record of leading organizational effectiveness, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive measurable business results.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels, translating vision into executable plans and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Strong collaboration, adaptability, and relationship-building skills, with experience working across all organizational levels in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Experience managing and influencing third-party vendors, strategic partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives and senior business leaders.
