JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the CIB Payments, Merchant Services, youare an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core solution architect, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Job responsibilities

  • Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs
  • Defines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy
  • Leverages enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning across the product family, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.

  • Participates in architecture governance bodies
  • Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback on solution options
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information
  • As a member of the team, build trusted relationships with business and technical decision makers in the customer27s organization to provide business and technical thought leadership
  • Identifies opportunities to modernize platform capabilities along with business initiatives
  • Executescreative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8+ years of hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability with software patterns and principles
  • Hands on building onboarding experiences, self service and assisted
  • Strategic mindset inshaping onboarding transformationfor payments business -includes digital onboarding, self servicing experience for clients, partner integration
  • Solid understand of acquiring payments onboarding and various complex client setups like Integrators, Franchise, Payment Facilitators
  • Solid understanding of various onboarding steps including KYC, credit, risk, screening
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements

  • Point of Sale experience is a plus
  • Cloud certification is a plus
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Strong experience in APIs
