This role focuses on long-term partnership development, revenue growth, and delivering measurable sustainability outcomes for clients.

Acting as a trusted advisor, the role bridges commercial, regulatory, and operational functions, helping clients navigate complex environmental requirements while advancing circularity goals.

This position goes beyond traditional account management - evolving toward consultative, data-driven "circular advisory" selling, as seen in your internal materials.

Position Description:

Lead strategic producer relationships
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic producer accounts, serving as a trusted advisor and primary relationship lead.
  • Build multi-level relationships with client contacts, including commercial, sustainability, regulatory, finance, and operations stakeholders.
  • Develop account plans that align Ryse services with each client's EPR obligations, sustainability goals, operational needs, and growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews that move beyond status updates and provide practical insights, risks, opportunities, and next steps.

Translate EPR complexity into client confidence
  • Help producers understand their obligations under applicable EPR and environmental compliance frameworks.
  • Work with Ryse's compliance and regulatory teams to explain program requirements, reporting expectations, timelines, risks, and service options in clear, client-ready language.
  • Identify where clients may need enhanced support, improved data quality, additional reporting, or broader circular economy solutions.

Grow account value and commercial opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion through additional EPR compliance services, recycling programs, reporting solutions, take-back solutions, material recovery initiatives, or advisory support.
  • Support proposals, pricing discussions, renewals, amendments, and contract negotiations in partnership with internal leaders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of client needs, market dynamics, competitor activity, and regulatory changes that may create new opportunities for Ryse.

Use data to improve decisions and service
  • Monitor account performance across service quality, financial performance, operational execution, reporting accuracy, diversion/recycling outcomes, and client satisfaction.
  • Translate data and operational feedback into business insights that clients can act on.
  • Work with internal teams to improve dashboards, reporting tools, client communications, and process efficiency.
  • Responsible for the continued improvement and usage of the CRM. Ensuring all required team members understand and utilize the CRM to its fullest capabilities

Coordinate delivery across the organization
  • Work closely with operations, compliance, finance, data/technology, marketing, and business development teams to ensure clients receive coordinated support.
  • Escalate and resolve client issues with urgency, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate account records, commitments, risks, and follow-up actions in Ryse's internal systems.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with contractual commitments and applicable regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience in key account management, strategic partnerships, sales, business development, commercial relationship management, or client advisory roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Strong commercial judgement, including experience supporting renewals, proposals, pricing discussions, or contract negotiations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical, regulatory, or operational information into clear client-facing messaging.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data, reporting outputs, dashboards, or operational metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and coordinate work across cross-functional teams.
  • Post-secondary education in business, environmental studies, sustainability, communications, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
