Position Description: CGI is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to join our financial services team and provide world class leadership and hands-on integration expertise to our top tier US Bank clients.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Engagement with product analyst and solution architects to interpret functional specifications to develop innovative solutions.
• Build secure, scalable and high-performance applications
• Work in an Agile environment and actively participate in sprint/project/release planning to provide development estimates for the program.
• Participate in requirements tuning and design reviews, sprint readiness and retrospective reviews and other inspections.
• Develop and exercise implementation and unit test cases
• Build technical documentation.
• Communication with client stakeholders
• Ensuring that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
• Developing testable features with lean requirements and supervision.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Strong knowledge in Core Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, Oracle SQLs, Junits (Must)
• Familiar with Spring MVC, JSP, Jquery, Angular, Tomcat (Good to have)
• Knowledge of Agile process, Expert knowledge of Java, REST API, SQL, SoapUI, UDeploy, Git
• Familiar with various software architectural and design patterns.
• Good Communication Skills (must have)
• Continuously deploy and validate code in numerous testing environments as well as lead hotfix and production code releases. (Jenkins, UDeploy, OCP)
