Full Job Description
We are actively looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our Lake Mary office. As part of the transportation technology group, this position will work within a team of professionals developing ITS and technology solutions for Central Florida Expressway Authority and a multitude of FDOT and other Florida Agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff augmentation teams for ITS work programs
  • Assist in researching ITS technology solutions and provide recommendations related to mobility, safety and operations
  • Coordinate with internal team members to provide ITS programmatic oversight related to new roadway systems
  • Coordinate with internal departments for planning and design efforts related to ITS and operations
  • Manage budgets and contracts on behalf of clients
  • Oversee ITS design contractors and provide coordination on behalf of clients
  • Provide plans review services
  • Assist in work program development
  • Oversee GIS and asset management program development on behalf of client
  • Attend design meetings
  • Attend design, maintenance, and construction meetings as necessary
  • Perform specification development
  • Documentation of concepts and requirements for ITS systems and devices

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil, transportation or related engineering field; required
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in ITS design; required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing ITS work programs; required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Florida or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire; required
  • Required skills and attributes:
    • Possess knowledge of ITS Design Standards
    • Possess experience in work program budgeting
    • Knowledge of CFX's SunGuide and Data Server Operations
    • Possess knowledge of CFX's operations reporting efforts and requirements
    • Experience with managing ITS design contracts
    • Experience with managing staff augmentation teams
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Availability and willingness to travel
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171


Physical Requirements:

Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel will be required.
