- Is utility industry experience truly required, or would enterprise infrastructure/regulated industry experience be considered comparable?
- Utility experience is strongly desired. Not really comparable as utility is really a world unto itself. You can submit with alternate backgrounds and that by itself would not be fatal, but we expect to find multiple candidates with utility experience.
- What phase is the current project in today (planning, implementation, testing, deployment, stabilization), and what are the biggest challenges the new PM will inherit?
- Current project is in both execution and planning phases across different workstreams.
- What type of project environment is this - Agile, Waterfall, hybrid - and how hands-on do you expect the PM to be with scheduling, RAID logs, budgeting, and executive reporting?
- Hybrid. The PM will be extremely hands on in all aspects including the financials. This is a Senior role with delivery responsibility.
- What is the ideal background mix for the candidate: stronger technical/GIS knowledge or stronger enterprise stakeholder and delivery management experience?
- Ideal is both. Depending on the candidate either one could be the tipping point.
- How many teams/stakeholders will this PM coordinate across, and what level of executive visibility does the role have?
- Many and medium to high visibility.
- Are there any "must-have" experiences that would immediately separate a top candidate from an average one?
- ESRI UN and Utility background combined.
