The Senior IT Manager, Wealth Data Platform, is accountable for leading delivery execution, operational oversight, governance, financial management, and team coordination across Wealth data, analytics, regulatory reporting, and platform capabilities.
The role supports critical Wealth Management outcomes, including trusted enterprise reporting, client and advisor insights, regulatory transparency, data quality, access controls, auditability, technology currency, and operational resilience.
This role works closely with business partners, technology leaders, project managers, solution designers, architecture, cyber security, data governance, infrastructure, operations, vendors, and finance partners to manage delivery commitments, monitor risks and dependencies, support platform stability, and ensure solutions are aligned to enterprise standards.
Accountabilities
Wealth Data Platform Delivery
- Lead delivery across Wealth data, analytics, reporting, and regulatory capabilities, including cloud-based and legacy platform solutions.
- Manage execution from intake and planning through design, build, testing, deployment, production readiness, and transition to support.
- Ensure platform work aligns to approved architecture, integration patterns, data models, privacy requirements, cyber security controls, and operational support standards.
- Maintain clear visibility into scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, actions, and escalation items.
Data Governance Enablement
- Support data capabilities that enable trusted reporting, regulatory transparency, audit readiness, operational controls, and effective risk oversight for Wealth Management.
- Ensure data platform delivery supports data quality, lineage, traceability, access management, privacy, retention, encryption, monitoring, exception handling, and evidence-based control processes.
- Partner with data governance, cyber security, risk, business, and technology teams to ensure sensitive and regulated data is handled in accordance with enterprise standards.
- Support modernization of related data flows, reporting pipelines, and operational controls to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
Platform Modernization and Operational Readiness
- Contribute to the modernization, migration, integration, and rationalization of Wealth data platforms and related technologies, including AWS, Netezza, Azure, SAS modernization, reporting, and enterprise data services.
- Manage technology currency, vulnerability remediation, lifecycle activities, platform upgrades, incident follow-up, support readiness, and operational resilience activities.
- Coordinate with architecture, infrastructure, operations, cyber security, data governance, vendors, and business partners to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, controlled, supportable, and aligned to enterprise standards.
- Ensure release planning, monitoring, alerting, support documentation, runbooks, implementation readiness, and production stability considerations are addressed before deployment.
Portfolio Governance, Financial Management and Reporting
- Maintain portfolio-level visibility across delivery progress, financial position, forecast, actuals, variances, funding requirements, dependencies, resource capacity, and operational impacts.
- Prepare concise, accurate, and decision-oriented updates for leadership, governance forums, steering committees, and stakeholder meetings.
- Partner with project managers, finance partners, vendors, technology leads, solution designers, and business stakeholders to maintain disciplined execution and financial transparency.
- Escalate delivery risks, financial pressures, resource constraints, vendor performance issues, and decisions required in a timely and transparent manner.
Vendor, Partner and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Manage vendor and partner coordination, including resource onboarding, delivery performance, cost tracking, statements of work, operational handoffs, and adherence to enterprise delivery standards.
- Coordinate across business, technology, architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, data governance, operations, risk, finance, and vendor teams to align priorities and resolve dependencies.
- Support delivery trade-off discussions, resource planning, dependency management, and leadership decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery discipline, operational controls, platform reliability, reporting quality, and team effectiveness.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
