Full Job Description
You'll play a key role in one of California's largest technology modernization initiatives by helping Child Welfare professionals successfully transition to the new Child Welfare Services-California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES). Your primary work will support onsite training activities throughout Los Angeles County, with opportunities to travel to other California locations during key implementation phases. Working alongside project leadership, Organizational Change Management (OCM), and technical teams, you'll deliver engaging instructor-led training, create user-friendly learning materials, and provide hands-on support that empowers end users to confidently adopt new technology and business processes. PAY RATE: $40.00 Hourly Rate (W2)
ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Child Welfare Services-California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES) is California's next-generation child welfare platform. This modern, web-based application is replacing multiple legacy systems with a single, scalable solution that provides child welfare professionals with faster, more efficient access to critical case information. As part of the implementation team, you'll help prepare and support users through instructor-led training, adoption activities, and post-Go-Live support to ensure a successful statewide deployment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Deliver engaging instructor-led training throughout Los Angeles County supporting the statewide implementation of the CWS-CARES application.
  • Facilitate onsite, hybrid, and virtual training sessions for end users, supervisors, leadership teams, and Train-the-Trainer participants.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve participant guides, presentations, job aids, quick reference guides, FAQs, and other instructional materials.
  • Provide onsite floor support, over-the-shoulder coaching, and post-Go-Live assistance to ensure successful user adoption.
  • Partner with Organizational Change Management (OCM), project leadership, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify training needs and tailor learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Gather participant feedback, evaluate training effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Maintain training documentation and user support resources throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Travel to other client locations throughout California as needed to support implementation milestones and project activities.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience within the past five (5) years delivering instructor-led training for enterprise software or IT implementation projects.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience developing participant guides, presentations, job aids, quick reference guides, and other instructional materials for technology implementations.
  • Experience using Salesforce with the ability to train end users on system functionality.
  • Experience delivering onsite, virtual, and hybrid training utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Experience supporting Go-Live activities, floor support, or over-the-shoulder user assistance during software implementations.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Organizational Change Management (OCM), project teams, executive leadership, and business stakeholders.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Los Angeles County and be available for onsite work throughout the county, with occasional travel to other California locations as project needs require.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting public sector, Health and Human Services (HHS), child welfare, or other government organizations is highly desirable.
