About the RoleWe're scaling a new vertical, and we're hiring our first dedicated IT Implementation Engineer to accelerate our growth.
You'll operate with real autonomy and report directly to senior leadership. The job is to make sure the right things are getting done by the right people - whether that's managing an implementation, triaging customer support tickets post-implementation or eventually managing a team you've helped build. If you're someone who gets energy from bringing order to ambiguity, holds themselves accountability to outcomes rather than activity, and can communicate clearly to leadership when the plan needs to change, this role was built for you.
What you'll do- Remotely execute technical implementation for dental practices from contract signature through go-live, owning quality and time-to-live at every step
- Improve the process. Starting with our kanban-style workflow - tracking status, prioritizing work, and keeping nothing from falling through the cracks. You'll be responsible for finding opportunities for automation, improving communication, and increasing productivity (measured by time spent in onboarding)
- Configure and troubleshoot integrations with dental practice management systems (PMS) - Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve, Open Dental, Denticon and others
- Set up and support remote access tools and network configurations at the practice level
- Communicate directly with IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs) hired by the dental practice to onboarding vendors like us. You'll introduce Codent, share our compliance and security documents, and build relationships while representing the company and product.
- Manage virtual machines hosted by AWS. These windows servers run ETL pipelines that make our product work.
- Handle inbound and outbound contact with doctors, office managers, and practice staff - by phone and email - with the clarity and patience that earns trust.
- Manage inbound support volume (including occasional phone line inquiries) and route or resolve issues appropriately
- Partner cross-functionally with our Customer Success, Product, and Sales teams to surface patterns, close gaps, and improve the onboarding experience over time
What we're looking for- 4+ years in an IT implementation, technical onboarding, or field/remote support role
- Hands-on experience with dental practice management systems (PMS) - you know how practices actually run their technology
- Strong working knowledge of remote access tools (TeamViewer, RemotePC, Splashtop, AnyDesk, or equivalent) and network fundamentals
- Experience managing a high-volume workload - you've handled 20, 30, 40+ concurrent implementations and know how to keep quality high across all of them
- Clear, confident communicator - equally effective explaining a network issue to an IT director and walking a front desk coordinator through a setup step
Nice to haves:- Experience in a dental, healthcare, or health tech environment
- Familiarity with dental imaging software or intraoral scanner platforms
- Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare compliance frameworks
- Background in, or appetite for, a sales engineering or solutions consulting path long-term
