Full Job Description
As a Senior IT Contract Specialist, you will lead and oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial request through contract close out, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. This role involves maintaining and strengthening relationships with our vendors and suppliers, leading negotiations, renewing contracts, and collaborating with various departments to understand their procurement needs. You will report to the Director of IT Procurement and will work closely with other departments, including legal and finance, as well as mentor junior procurement team members.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and implement contract management strategies to optimize the contract lifecycle process and ensure timely and accurate execution of all procurement activities.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent performance, delivery, and value for the organization.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations with vendors to secure the best possible pricing and terms, maximizing value for the organization's spend.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and internal departments, including legal and finance, to understand their procurement needs and address any concerns or discrepancies with vendors.
  • Establish and oversee a comprehensive system for monitoring and evaluating vendor performance, promptly reporting any issues to management for resolution.
  • Identify and engage new vendors, coordinating efforts with the Legal, GRC, and Security teams to evaluate capabilities and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify potential vendors, assess their capabilities, and stay informed about industry trends to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
