Full Job Description
LOCATION: APPLY is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in the Greater Toronto Area of Canada, working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone). The candidate will be required to work from the Toronto office four days a week.

THE ROLE:

Apply Digital is looking for a seasoned Senior IT Analyst to join our growing IT team. This is an advanced individual contributor role for someone who doesn't just respond to the queue - they own systems, drive improvements, and raise the bar for the entire IT function. Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll be the technical anchor for our internal platforms, a go-to escalation point for complex issues, and a mentor to junior IT staff.

This is an in-office role based in our Toronto office, where being on-site lets you collaborate closely with key personnel and stay hands-on with our hardware and infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own escalated and complex user tickets (P0-P3), serving as the technical escalation point for identity, endpoint, and cloud platform issues across our global teams.
  • Work closely with security compliance programs (ISO27001, ISO42001, SOC2 Type II) - including monitoring and resolving test problems, collecting evidence, and collaborating with auditors and the internal security team.
  • Design, scope, and implement improvements to internal policy, procedures, and our tool stack with minimal direction; bring recommendations proactively.
  • Administer and optimize our identity platform (Okta), including Lifecycle Management (LCM), workflow automation, SCIM provisioning, MFA policies, and app integrations.
  • Manage user access and entitlements across cloud platforms: Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian Cloud, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Develop scripts and automation to reduce manual IT toil and improve operational efficiency (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Evaluate, onboard, and integrate new vendors and technologies - including security posture review and interoperability assessment within our best-of-breed stack.
  • Lead hardware procurement cycles, enforce asset management standards, and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Manage software license and subscription allocations; optimize spend and report on utilization trends.
  • Own the central IT knowledge base - set documentation standards, maintain accuracy, and drive team-wide adoption (Notion, Confluence, or similar).
  • Mentor and support junior IT staff through knowledge-transfer, pairing, and work review.
  • Drive cross-functional IT projects from scoping through delivery, coordinating with stakeholders across the business.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine customer-service orientation - you treat every ticket as an opportunity to leave someone better off than you found them.
  • A self-starter who can prioritize effectively, work independently, and take full ownership of their work without needing to be managed.
  • Positive energy and openness - you bring good vibes to the team and approach every situation, even messy ones, with a can-do attitude.
  • Reliable and consistent - people know they can count on you to follow through, communicate proactively, and not let things fall through the cracks.
  • Confidence in your abilities, paired with the humility to know when to ask for help or escalate.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, problem-solving, and rationalization skills - you can systematically work through complex issues, identify root causes, and clearly explain your reasoning to others.
  • The resilience to thrive in a fast-moving, scale-up environment where priorities can shift and ambiguity is the norm.
  • A strong team player who wants to grow, mentor others, and share knowledge freely - you make the whole team better.
  • Deep expertise in Okta - Lifecycle Management, workflow builder, MFA policy design, and SCIM integrations with third-party apps.
  • Strong knowledge of MDM platforms (Jamf preferred) and macOS administration at an admin level.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO27001, SOC2 Type II, or equivalent compliance frameworks - active participation in audits, not just awareness.
  • Solid Google Workspace administration skills (Org Units, GAM, API-level access, advanced reporting).
  • Experience managing cloud IAM across at least two of: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar) applied to real IT operational problems.
  • Security-minded with a proactive approach to risk identification, vulnerability triage, and remediation.
  • Loves documentation - you take pride in clarity and completeness, and maintain a central knowledge base others actually want to use (Notion, Confluence, etc.).
  • An ability to connect and communicate effectively with employees, clients, and vendors at all levels.
  • Mentorship or informal team-lead experience is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices and developer tooling environments is an asset.
