Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Portfolio Analyst to join the Derivatives Risk Management team within the Finance organization. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at . The Derivatives Risk Management team is responsible for the development and execution of hedging strategies for the banking book.
The Investment Portfolio, IP, manages the bank’s fixed income securities, roughly $400B in total, and derivatives portfolios. In addition to managing firm wide interest rate risk in partnership with Corporate Treasury, the portfolio is critical in managing the firm’s earnings profile as well as the firm’s capital and liquidity position.
This role will partner heavily across the Portfolio Strategy and Analytics, PSA, Securities Portfolio Management, SPM, Derivatives Risk Management, DRM, teams in Investment Portfolio, and the Balance Sheet and Interest Rate Risk Management, BSIRRM, team in Corporate Treasury.
In this role, you will:
Analyze U.S. and non-U.S. interest rate exposures across the balance sheet in the context of evolving macroeconomic environments
Synthesize findings into concise presentations and materials for senior management to guide key business and risk management decisions
Maintain and enhance existing on‑desk market and hedging analytics in Python, Dash, and Excel, with an AI-forward approach to all future development
Support the application, ongoing maintenance and enhancement of risk evaluation and reporting processes related to hedging strategies
Exercise independent judgment with guidance from leaders, as needed, on low‑to‑moderately complex deliverables, while building understanding of relevant policies, procedures, controls, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with peers, risk partners, and other stakeholders to support day‑to‑day activities, share information, and resolve routine issues
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Investment Portfolio Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
Analytical experience supporting portfolio management
Programming ability in Python or SQL and familiarity with data science or similar programming/ database experience
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Experience researching complex issues, distilling information into concise presentations and offering actionable resolutions

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
