At Dycom Industries, Inc as a Senior Investigator, you'll be responsible for investigating and documenting employee relations cases across our enterprise.

What you'll do

  • Conduct investigations into claims of potential harassment, discrimination, workplace misconduct and/or potential violations of company policies
  • Communicate recommendation and guidance on appropriate corrective actions based on investigation results
  • Provide investigations, findings and summaries to senior leadership
  • Conduct various data analysis on complaints and related metrics, monitoring for patterns and trends to identify areas of concern
  • Draft, proof and finalize documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy/legal requirements
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including leadership, legal, and others when appropriate
  • Utilize comprehensive and in-depth employee relations expertise to assess credibility and provide guidance and recommendations for the organization
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations, findings, and resolutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement of processes and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in handling employee relations issues.
  • Other duties as assigned


What you'll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience handling internal workplace investigations
  • In depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Strong project management, analytical, fact-finding and evidence gathering skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to exercise a sense of urgency handling multiple cases/priorities
  • Ability to travel as required


Additional qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace software
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP or SCP certification
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high demand, fast-paced environment with diverse, geographically dispersed teams


Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
  • Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 20% for team meetings, training, and investigations.
